The cost of \u200bgas\u200b continues\u2063 to rise, with the average price for a gallon \u200dof regular gas<\/a> increasing<\/a> for the second consecutive day. This increase follows a slight decrease \u2062over the July 4th \u2064weekend. Prices are now just shy of being a penny \u200dcheaper than they were at the same time \u2063last year. The average price for a gallon of \u200cregular gas rose to $3.538\u200c on Wednesday, almost two cents higher than the previous day. Gas prices vary\u200d across states, \u2063with Mississippi having the cheapest gas at $3.005 per\u2062 gallon and California having the most expensive at $4.784. \u200dGas prices continue to\u200c fluctuate, and you can see the prices\u2063 for regular-grade gas in and \u2062around Washington, D.C., as well as other states. <\/p>\n
