The Missouri Attorney \u2062General Andrew Bailey has filed\u200d a lawsuit against the\u2063 Biden administration’s Department of Health and Human Services over a rule that allegedly forces health care\u200c professionals \u2062to perform sex change surgeries<\/a>. The\u200b rule, issued on April 26 under the Affordable Care Act, prohibits health care<\/a> and insurance providers who receive federal funding from \u2064refusing care \u2062based on a patient’s gender identity \u2062or sexual orientation. \u2062The plaintiffs, including six additional states and the American College \u200bof Pediatricians, are asking the \u2062court to declare the rule unlawful. The\u2064 lawsuit\u2063 states that doctors \u200bshould not be compelled to harm\u2063 children by being forced to perform, refer for, or affirm harmful gender-transition procedures. <\/p>\n
