In the original video, which has been uploaded to YouTube by Europe 1, Le Pen can be seen laughing during her appearance on the program.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Le Pen is being investigated by the Paris prosecutor\u2019s office over \u201callegations of accepting a financial loan, misappropriation of property, fraud and forgery,\u201d according to <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/france-le-pen-investigation-financing-election-b318d93e436e68b9471d13f4c6f374a3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Associated Press<\/a>. The allegations relate to Le Pen\u2019s \u201ccampaign during the 2022 presidential election,\u201d the outlet reported.<\/p>\n<p>The X image, viewed over 100 times as of writing, purports to show Le Pen crying after losing France\u2019s recent parliamentary election. \u201cWho does NOT feel sorry for Marine Le Pen\u2019s Fascist Crying Episode, after losing the France Parliamentary Election?\u201d the image\u2019s caption reads.<\/p>\n<p>The claim is false. The image is derived from a 2017 radio appearance in which Le Pen was a guest on host Thomas Sotto\u2019s morning show. In the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=xSFBZ8TDO34\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">original video<\/a>, which has been uploaded to YouTube by Europe 1, Le Pen can be seen laughing during her appearance on the program.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn March 2017, Marine Le Pen was the guest of Thomas Sotto\u2019s morning show.
