A \u200bFlorida man, Brandon Gilmore, was arrested for dropping\u2063 a \u200b4-year-old boy off a second-floor balcony at a Daytona \u200bBeach resort. Gilmore was charged with aggravated child \u2064abuse. The incident occurred\u2063 after he met \u2062the boy’s mother, and told her \u2062he would scare the boy by taking him outside to play. Witnesses saw Gilmore holding the child by his legs above the balcony before dropping him head first onto concrete. The child suffered blunt force trauma\u200d to \u2064his\u2064 head and was hospitalized but \u200clater released \u200bwithout long-term health\u2062 issues<\/a>. Gilmore claimed they had been drinking all day before the incident. He remains \u200cin jail without bond. <\/p>\n
