On July 9, 2024, it was reported \u2064that the government\u200c social media accounts<\/a> for Governor Kristi Noem\u200c of South Dakota were deleted without any explanation.\u2064 While her\u200d personal accounts remain active, the official \u200dFacebook and TikTok pages for the governor’s office were no longer active<\/a>. New accounts were created, \u2063but they\u2064 have far fewer followers. Noem’s spokesperson did not provide a reason for the deletion \u2064of the accounts. The governor\u2064 has faced other\u2062 controversies recently, including being \u200bsued for violating consumer protection \u2062laws in\u2064 a social \u200dmedia video<\/a> and receiving criticism for a\u2063 video praising<\/a> her dentist. <\/p>\n
