Former Senator James \u2063Inhofe of \u2063Oklahoma passed away at the age\u200c of 89 after suffering a \u200bstroke on July 4. He served in the U.S.\u200d Senate from 1994\u2063 until\u200b his retirement in 2023, \u200bmaking him the longest-serving senator<\/a> in Oklahoma’s history.\u200b Inhofe \u200bwas known for his \u2064conservative views and his long political career<\/a>, which included serving in various positions in\u2064 Oklahoma politics before being\u2063 elected to the U.S. \u200dSenate. He was also known for his skepticism of \u200c man-made climate change<\/a><\/a> \u200cand his support for \u200bformer President Donald Trump. Inhofe\u2062 is survived by his\u200d wife, three\u2062 children, and \u200b12 \u200dgrandchildren. He will be remembered for his dedication to his constituents and his family. <\/p>\n
