Senate Majority Leader \u200cChuck Schumer is working on legislation to classify former President Donald Trump’s \u2064actions on the January 6 insurrection as unofficial following the Supreme Court’s ruling on presidential immunity<\/a>. Schumer and\u2064 his Democratic colleagues aim to use Congress’s\u2062 power to regulate courts\u200b to \u200censure that Trump\u2062 is not \u200bimmune from\u2064 criminal\u2063 prosecution<\/a>. The\u200b Supreme Court recently ruled that presidents are immune\u2063 from being prosecuted for official acts<\/a> \u2062while \u200cin office\u2062 but not immune from unofficial acts.
