The sign is posted near a Louis Vuitton store.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNotice,\u201d the sign reads. \u201cStolen goods must remain under $950.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSan Francisco, where theft is now fully legalized,\u201d the post reads.<\/p>\n<p>This is not an official sign, however. <a href=\"https:\/\/sfbos.org\/supervisor-peskin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Aaron Peskin<\/a>, president of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, confirmed to Check Your Fact via email that the sign was put up illegally and was promptly removed.<\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cIt was an illegally posted non-city sign and was removed a few hours after it was posted,\u201d Peskin said. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The account that originally posted the image later <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Jewtastic\/status\/1807231581079359564\"><span>clarified<\/span><\/a><span>, \u201cIt\u2019s not real \u2013 but it could be.
