Conservative \u2064Canadian psychologist and podcaster Jordan Peterson responded to a villain in the Disney+ series “The Acolyte” who quoted him during a recent episode<\/a>. The villain, played\u2063 by Manny Jacinto, restated a quote from Peterson, saying, “Even in the revelation of our \u200dtriumph, we see the depth of our despair.” Peterson shared in \u2063an interview his experiences with people \u2063who have been helped by his\u2063 teachings, overcoming struggles \u2062like suicidal thoughts<\/a> and despair. \u2062Peterson reacted to the \u200duse \u200cof his words in the show,\u2064 joking that he looms large in the imagination \u200dof woke\u200b Hollywood creators. The series has\u200b faced \u200ccriticism \u200cfor its perceived woke and\u200b LGBT themes, with the\u200b creator, Leslye Headland, admitting to infusing these elements into the show. \u200dSome have \u200dlabeled \u200bthe show as a queer, Marxist interpretation \u200bof the Star Wars myth.
