National Rally did greatly improve its standing in parliament, boosting the number of seats it holds, but it underperformed expectations it would roar to victory. <\/p>\n<p>Hard-left coation leader Jean-Luc Melenchon <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/live\/france-election-results-updates-round-2-macron-le-pen\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a> the results are an \u201cimmense relief for a majority of people in our country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Polling estimates by IFOP project Melenchon\u2019s left wing alliance will have between 180 and 215 seats. Macron\u2019s coalition will have roughly 150-180 and National Rally will pick up between 120-150 seats in the 577-seat parliament, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.eu\/article\/france-legislative-election-2024-second-round-front-populaire-jean-luc-melenchon-raphael-glucksmann-shock-victory\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">according to<\/a> <em>Politico<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/despite-1-48-trillion-in-tax-hikes-bidens-build-back-revenue-falls-short-in-jct-estimate\/\" title=\"Despite .48 Trillion in Tax Hikes, Biden&#039;s &#039;Build Back&#039; Revenue Falls Short in JCT Estimate\">surprise result<\/a> came after National Rally dominated the first round of voting a week ago.
