The incident occurred at a\u200c wharf \u200bwhere the destroyer was undergoing maintenance. An investigation has\u2064 been launched to determine the cause of the fire and the sinking of the destroyer.<\/p>\n<p>The\u2064 Sahand was commissioned in 2018 and was one of Iran&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/watch-ukraine-sends-another-russian-warship-to-black-sea-graveyard\/\" title=\"WATCH: Ukraine Sends Another Russian Warship To Black Sea Graveyard\">newest naval vessels<\/a>. It was named after \u2063a mountain \u2062in Iran and \u200cwas \u200cequipped with advanced weaponry \u200band\u2064 technology.<\/p>\n<p>This incident is a significant blow to \u200bthe Iranian navy, as the Sahand was a key part of their naval\u2062 fleet. The loss of such a modern and capable destroyer\u200d will affect Iran&#8217;s naval capabilities in the region.
