The NAACP And Its Georgetown Legal Team Fought To Make That Happen.\">legal team\u2019<\/a>s request Saturday afternoon, imposing a two-week delay for three pending deadlines in the case. Trump\u2019s team <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/justice\/3071276\/trump-judge-cannon-classified-documents-immunity\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>made the request<\/a> Friday, arguing that the Supreme Court\u2019s immunity decision had to be considered and they should be allowed to argue the merits before the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-lawyer-says-legal-team-will-be-well-prepared-in-rest-of-impeachment-trial\/\" title=\"Trump Lawyer Says Legal Team Will Be \u2018Well Prepared\u2019 in Rest of Impeachment Trial\">trial moves forward<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Cannon imposed a July 18 deadline for special counsel Jack Smith\u2019s team to respond to the motion to stay and a July 21 deadline for any other reply. <\/p>\n<p>Saturday\u2019s order was only a partial victory for Trump, whose team requested the entire case, except for a pending dispute over a gag order, be put on pause in order to brief Cannon on the effects of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/Supreme-Court\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Supreme Court<\/a>\u2019s decision. <\/p>\n<p>Cannon moved the July 8 deadline for Trump\u2019s teams Rule 16 expert disclosures;
