million, the highest level in the nation.<\/p>\n<p>Overall spending, including down-ballot races, is projected to be $800 million, the 3rd-highest in the nation.<\/p>\n<p>This is according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecentersquare.com\/tncms\/asset\/editorial\/a3058698-3a0d-11ef-b120-fbe0a17cc2b9\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>The Political Projections Report<\/strong><\/a>, which was released on Monday by advertisement tracking company AdImpact.<\/p>\n<p>Swing states like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecentersquare.com\/georgia\/article_404a9432-3970-11ef-a686-17271dceb348.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Georgia<\/strong><\/a>, Pennsylvania and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecentersquare.com\/north_carolina\/article_7a86a344-3951-11ef-ade0-dfe3b8b1d0fe.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>North Carolina<\/strong><\/a> will play especially critical roles in the presidential election, the report found.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith spending centralized in a handful of swing states that will ultimately decide the election, we expect the general to see $2.16B, a 17% increase over 2020.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pennsylvania will also likely see record levels of spending on both Senate and down-ballot races as well.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith Democrats on the defensive this fall, spending will overwhelmingly occur in several key battleground states: Arizona, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Nevada, Maryland, Michigan, and Wisconsin,\u201d the report found.<\/p>\n<p>All of these numbers are significantly higher than in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/republican-debate-who-are-fox-news-moderators-bret-baier-and-martha-maccallum\/\" title=\"Who are the Fox News moderators of the Republican debate, Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum?\">past election cycles<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The report anticipates a 19% growth in overall advertising in the upcoming election cycle over the 2020 election season, with spending through June 30th already \u201cpacing $529M ahead of the 2020 cycle.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This comes as political advertising just begins to enter what AdImpact calls the \u201ctrue spending season,\u201d which runs from July 1 through Election Day.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecentersquare.com\/national\/article_f47b542c-3ad9-11ef-8486-c7b0729a0a2d.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Nationwide political advertising spending<\/strong><\/a> will likely reach a record high $10.69 billion, making it the \u201cmost expensive on record.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The $10.69 billion was a revision from its earlier-predicted number of $10.2 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Pennsylvania also saw an upward revision of $62 million from the past report, giving it the 5th-largest increase.<\/p>\n<p>Much of the spending comes from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/candace-owens-why-ive-stopped-watching-sports\/\" title=\"CANDACE OWENS: Why I\u2019ve Stopped Watching Sports\">political interest groups<\/a> like Planned Parenthood, who are particularly motivated to spend in states with ballot initiatives dealing with abortion, marijuana, or other issues.<\/p>\n<p>According to AdImpact, if Pennsylvania decides to take up an initiative on one of those issues, there\u2019s a \u201cstrong indication\u201d that
