But after Biden stumbled through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/biden-admits-nearly-fell-asleep-debate-stage-offers-extremely-unconvincing-excuse\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">first presidential debate<\/a>, Trump has managed to widen his lead in at least five polls, including his <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.ph\/mKkwd\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">largest<\/a> lead recorded in the New York Times Times\/Siena <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2024\/07\/03\/us\/politics\/poll-debate-biden-trump.html?campaign_id=60&#038;emc=edit_na_20240703&#038;instance_id=0&#038;nl=breaking-news&#038;ref=cta&#038;regi_id=211\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">poll<\/a> since 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Among registered voters, Trump has widened his lead to eight points with 49 percent preferring Trump and 41 percent preferring Biden, according to the New York Times\/Siena poll. Across likely voters, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/democratic-congressman-says-trump-going-win-bidens-disastrous-debate-clear-months\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trump<\/a> leads by six points, with Trump garnering 49 percent and Biden 43 percent support.<\/p>\n<p>Trump has taken a six point lead over Biden nationally, polling at 48 percent compared to 42 percent for Biden, according to The Wall Street Journal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/politics\/elections\/trump-expands-lead-over-biden-after-debate-as-voters-age-worries-grow-wsj-poll-finds-c3a793ab\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">poll<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJoe Biden was defending a failed record that is not just his,\u201d John McLaughlin, a Trump campaign pollster and CEO of McLaughlin &#038; Associates, told the Daily Caller News Foundation. \u201cIt applies to the entire Democratic Party and any other candidate that they\u2019re talking about putting up on the ticket.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/gavin-newsom-heads-dc-amid-calls-biden-drop\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Biden<\/a> is trailing Trump by six points, which is a 0.8 point decrease from his pre-debate poll numbers, according to an internal Democrat <a href=\"https:\/\/puck.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/SUNDAY_Post-Debate_Landscape_2024_06_30__1_-1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">poll<\/a> from Open Labs that was leaked Tuesday. Trump also increased his lead by three points, polling at 41 percent while Biden trails at 38 percent, in a USA Today\/Suffolk University poll released on Tuesday. Marjorie Taylor Greene DESTROYS Nasty GA Election Official Gabe Sterling After His Latest Attack on President Trump and Herself\">failed policies<\/a>, they will lose in November.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think in the wake of last week\u2019s debate performance, it\u2019s entirely possible for states to shift,\u201d Jon McHenry, GOP polling analyst and vice president at North Star Opinion Research, told the DCNF.<\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s numbers have also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/accurate-pollster-2020-releases-rare-poll-adds-insult-injury-biden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">slipped in key states<\/a>, according to the Open Labs poll. Biden\u2019s previous lead in New Mexico and Virginia flipped in favor of Trump following the debate, while Trump continues to lead in states like New Hampshire\u00a0and Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe swing states from last cycle like Arizona, Georgia, and North Carolina have been shifting to former President Trump, with consistent mid-to-high single-digit leads, and the old swing states like New Hampshire, Virginia, and New Mexico that have been consistently Democratic for the last several cycles may become more competitive,\u201d McHenry told the DCNF.<\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s dismal post-debate polling was reflected in voters\u2019 attitudes toward the president, according to the Open Labs poll. Based on what they have heard about Biden over the last week, an all-time low of 27 percent of voters say they think of him more favorably.<\/p>\n<p>In the aftermath of the debate, voters are calling for Biden to drop out from the race.
