Despite his shortcomings, Democrats have been manipulating election laws to secure wins, using tactics like vote-harvesting \u2062operations and targeting demographics that\u2062 typically lean blue. They have also \u200cbeen working\u200b to weaken election \u200dsecurity laws, such as vilifying voter ID requirements and promoting mass absentee\u200d balloting. These efforts \u200dhave allowed them to push subpar candidates like Biden across the \u2062finish line, highlighting the importance of reforming election laws to ensure \u200bfair and secure\u200d elections.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>President Joe Biden\u2019s abysmal debate performance may have been the worst since <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2024\/06\/28\/g-s1-6953\/presidential-debate-analysis-trump-biden\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Richard Nixon<\/a> sweat profusely and appeared grayish while debating John F. Kennedy. Biden\u2019s campaign <em>should <\/em>be dead in the water after last Thursday. But thanks to Democrats\u2019 efforts to alter and exploit our election system, winning elections isn\u2019t as simple as just being a coherent candidate. <\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s atrocious performance could not be ignored. New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2024\/06\/28\/opinion\/joe-biden-tom-friedman.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">called<\/a> for Biden to drop out of the race. The Atlantic\u2019s Mark Leibovich <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theatlantic.com\/politics\/archive\/2024\/06\/biden\/678820\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wrote<\/a> the \u201cbest part of this debate for Democrats is that it happened on June 27.\u201d Politico\u2019s Irie Sentner <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2024\/06\/28\/biden-debate-columnists-step-aside-00165745\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a> Biden\u2019s stumbling and incoherence \u201cwas impossible to ignore.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The man with the nuclear codes is only really alert between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2024\/06\/29\/two-bidens-trump-debate-2024-president\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Axios<\/a> reported, citing White House aides. European leaders were also <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/06\/14\/us-news\/bidens-condition-shocks-allies-at-g7-summit-with-one-saying-its-worst-he-has-ever-been-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reportedly<\/a> concerned about Biden\u2019s ability to lead, even before the debate.<\/p>\n<p>But by breaking and bending election laws for years, Democrats have changed the landscape of American elections \u2014 and built in a safety net that helps them drag subpar candidates across the finish line.<\/p>\n<h2>Democrats\u2019 Vote-Harvesting Operations<\/h2>\n<p>One of the ways Democrats do this is by targeting supposedly nonpartisan \u201cget-out-the-vote\u201d campaigns at likely Democrat constituencies, and deploying <a href=\"https:\/\/www.heritage.org\/election-integrity\/report\/vote-harvesting-recipe-intimidation-coercion-and-election-fraud\">ballot-harvesting operations<\/a> to take advantage of low-propensity voters.<\/p>\n<p>Democrats have long relied on progressive nonprofits purporting to be \u201cnonpartisan\u201d to help turn out likely Democratic voters. Restoration of America, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/gop-congressmen-call-out-colleagues-for-voting-by-proxy-claim-it-could-render-congress-permanently-dysfunctional\/\" title=\"GOP Congressmen Call Out Colleagues For Voting By Proxy, Claim It Could Render Congress \u2018Permanently Dysfunctional\u2019\">conservative political action committee<\/a>, found that \u201cmore than 150 left-wing nonprofits spent $1.35 billion on political activities between 2021 and 2022,\u201d as RealClearInvestigations\u2019 Steve Miller <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/12\/14\/how-tax-exempt-nonprofits-skirt-u-s-law-to-turn-out-democrats-for-elections\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">explained<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe groups work around legal restrictions on nonprofits that accept tax-deductible donations by selectively engaging in nonpartisan efforts including boosting voter education and participation,\u201d Miller wrote, noting that much of the money targets left-wing constituencies via groups like the Voter Participation Center and Center for Voter Information. Both groups\u2019 mission targets \u201cyoung people, people of color and unmarried women\u201d \u2014 three core demographics for Democrats.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, President Joe Biden is using taxpayer dollars to turn out voters, especially targeting demographics that are more likely to vote blue.<\/p>\n<p>Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/presidential-actions\/2021\/03\/07\/executive-order-on-promoting-access-to-voting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">signed<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailysignal.com\/2022\/02\/10\/biden-bureaucracy-secretly-plans-to-turn-out-voters-after-failure-of-election-takeover-bills\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Executive Order 14019<\/a> in March of 2021, directing federal agencies to develop plans to \u201cpromote voter registration and voter participation.\u201d The Department of Education, for example, issued a <a href=\"https:\/\/fsapartners.ed.gov\/knowledge-center\/library\/dear-colleague-letters\/2024-02-26\/use-federal-work-study-funds-voter-registration\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">memo<\/a> in February stating federal work-study funds could be used to pay students to work at government agencies to register voters or serve as poll watchers. Voters between the ages of 18-29 broke for Democrat House candidates during the 2022 midterms nearly 2-1 when compared to Republican candidates, <a href=\"https:\/\/circle.tufts.edu\/latest-research\/millions-youth-cast-ballots-decide-key-2022-races\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">estimates<\/a> show.<\/p>\n<p>The Supreme Court recently <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/06\/13\/bidenbucks-order-will-already-have-done-its-job-by-the-time-scotus-looks-at-it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">announced<\/a> it will not consider hearing a challenge to the executive order until Sept. 30 \u2014 after the order has already done what Biden intended it to do for the 2024 election.<\/p>\n<h2>Democrats Target Election Security Laws<\/h2>\n<p>Perhaps Democrats\u2019 biggest tactic to rig elections in their favor is by weakening election laws, such as by vilifying basic voter ID requirements and popularizing mass absentee balloting. <\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s home state of <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/06\/07\/bidens-home-state-enlists-former-obama-solicitor-general-to-defend-loose-election-laws\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Delaware<\/a> recently enlisted former Obama administration Solicitor General Don Verrelli to argue in favor of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bidens-home-state-enlists-former-obama-solicitor-general-to-defend-loose-election-laws\/\" title=\"Biden&#039;s Home State Hires Ex-Obama Solicitor General to Protect Election Laws\">state laws permitting early voting<\/a> and permanent absentee voting. The <a href=\"https:\/\/publicinterestlegal.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/S23C-03-014-_008365.pdf\">Delaware Superior Court<\/a> had found a 2010 statute permitting permanent absentee status violated the state\u2019s constitution, since the constitution \u201climits absentee voting to only such general election where the voter cannot cast a ballot in person for a constitutionally enumerated reason.\u201d The Delaware Supreme Court reversed the lower court\u2019s decision this week.<\/p>\n<p>The mass absentee voting apparatus popularized by Democrats in 2020 at the height of Covid-19 panic made elections less secure and makes it easier for ballot traffickers to take advantage of the voting process.<\/p>\n<p>In Alabama in 2017, for example, a judge overturned preliminary election results in the Wetumpka City Council race after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.heritage.org\/voterfraud\/search?state=AL\">throwing out<\/a> eight absentee ballots that were cast for the incumbent because either the signatures were forged or they had not been properly filled out. Just this past March the state implemented a law that makes paying people for \u201ccollecting, prefilling, completing, obtaining, or delivering\u201d ballots a Class B felony, as my colleague M.D. Kittle <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/06\/19\/bidens-meddling-doj-targets-alabamas-ban-on-ballot-trafficking\/\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Democrat election officials have also been known to arbitrarily \u2014 and extralegally \u2014 change election rules. In Michigan during the 2020 election, Democratic Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/06\/13\/judge-michigan-secretary-of-states-lax-ballot-signature-guidance-is-unconstitutional\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">issued guidance<\/a> to election officials to presume that signatures on absentee ballots are valid. Three years later Benson would issue further guidance on how to conduct signature verification for absentee ballot applications and envelopes, telling election workers they must initially presume the signatures are valid. A judge recently ruled Benson\u2019s guidance is unconstitutional \u2014 but it was used during the 2020 election nonetheless.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Biden\u2019s Justice Department has <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/03\/04\/biden-department-of-justice-declares-war-on-voter-id-and-other-election-security-laws\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">vowed<\/a> to fight election security laws it deems \u201cburdensome\u201d and \u201cunnecessary\u201d like voter ID requirements or those limiting absentee and mail-in voting.<\/p>\n<p>As part of their long-term strategy, Democrats are also looking to Congress to pass the <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/03\/07\/democrats-bill-would-give-the-doj-veto-power-over-state-and-local-election-laws\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act<\/a> which would effectively allow the DOJ to take control of local and state election laws. For example, states or localities requiring voter ID would be subject to DOJ scrutiny. This legislation is a watered-down version of another <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/democrats-bill-would-give-the-doj-veto-power-over-state-and-local-election-laws\/\" title=\"Democrats\u2019 Bill Would Give The DOJ Veto Power Over State And Local Election Laws\">federal elections takeover bill<\/a>, HR 1, that Democrats pushed in 2021. HR1 sought to mandate mail-in ballots and delay final results by eradicating legal deadlines for those ballots, as my colleague Joy Pullmann <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/03\/08\/15-insane-things-in-democrats-h-r-1-bill-to-corrupt-elections-forever\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">explained<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>[READNEXT:[READNEXT:<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/06\/25\/californians-with-no-drivers-license-or-ssn-can-use-a-credit-card-or-gym-membership-to-vote\/\">Californians With No Driver\u2019s License Or SSN Can Use A Credit Card Or Gym Membership To Vote<\/a>]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Democrats aren\u2019t oblivious to Biden\u2019s weakness, but they\u2019ve spent years pushing fundamental changes to our election system that boost their candidates, no matter how unpopular they may be.
