The piece failed to mention that Demand Justice is \u2063part of Arabella, a dark money group supporting left-wing causes. Przybyla has also written about conservative figures like Leonard Leo and Justice Neil Gorsuch, often from a critical perspective. Critics have accused\u2064 her of bias and \u200cpromoting left-wing narratives.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Does political writer Heidi Przybyla work for Politico or a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/liberal-group-includes-call-to-shoot-republicans-in-letter-to-fcc\/\" title=\"Liberal Group Includes Call to \u2018Shoot Republicans\u2019 in Letter to FCC\">left-wing group funded<\/a> by Arabella Advisors? Her <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/MatthewFoldi\/status\/1808126146350924153 8:39 AM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">recent stories<\/a> make it hard to tell.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, Przybyla published what conservative radio host Erick Erickson <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/EWErickson\/status\/1808125282722672878\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">characterized <\/a>as a \u201cpress release\u201d for a group called \u201cDemand Justice.\u201d The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2024\/07\/02\/demand-justice-supreme-court-reform-00166142\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">story<\/a>, headlined, \u201cProgressive advocacy group plans $10M offensive targeting Supreme Court,\u201d chronicles the far-left operation\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/state-lawmakers-are-waking-up-to-blackrocks-dangers-to-americans-and-taking-action\/\" title=\"State Lawmakers Are Waking Up To BlackRock\u2019s Dangers To Americans, And Taking Action\">multi-million-dollar campaign<\/a> to undermine the last functional institution of the federal government. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cAccording to plans first shared with POLITICO, the group intends to spend $10 million by the end of this year on a range of activities, from conducting opposition research on potential Supreme Court picks to advocating for ethics reforms for the high court,\u201d Przybyla reported. \u201cIt will also work to mobilize key constituencies affected by the court\u2019s decisions, including women and young people, and to call out a network of far-right judicial activists that laid the groundwork for the conservative supermajority on the Supreme Court.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Left out of Przybyla\u2019s reporting, however, as Erickson noted, \u201cDemand Justice is a part of a multi-billion dollar dark money enterprise of the left called Arabella.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Arabella is a colossal dark money group funneling anonymous donations to left-wing causes such as efforts to \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/far-left-hub-defunding-dismantling-police-housed-massive-dark-money-network\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">defund police<\/a>\u201d and <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/10\/26\/news\/liberal-dark-money-network-has-donated-10-million-to-anti-israel-causes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">antisemitic protests<\/a>. Last month, CBS <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/the-64-million-mystery-anonymous-donations-2024-presidential-campaign\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">called<\/a> the group a \u201cdark money juggernaut\u201d with entities promoting \u201cprogressive causes, like climate change and marijuana legalization.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLately, they have poured money into state ballot initiatives, particularly where there are competitive Senate or House seats, possibly as a way of driving turnout,\u201d CBS reported. <\/p>\n<p>Arabella, however, wasn\u2019t even mentioned in Przybyla\u2019s piece where she described Demand Justice\u2019s efforts as part of \u201can advocacy ecosystem to challenge a deep-pocketed network of ultraconservative judicial activists helmed by Leonard Leo, the Federalist Society co-chair.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo Politico, which believes in transparency and supposedly believes in democracy, is running a press release for a leftwing group funded by anonymous leftwing billionaires who are also anonymously trying to fund election efforts for the left,\u201d Erickson wrote on X Tuesday. <\/p>\n<figure>\n<p><span><\/p>\n<blockquote data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Well, she is clearly a leftwing hack doing the work of the left to undermine American institutions.  She&#8217;s writing a press release for a far-left group &#8220;Demand Justice&#8221; claiming it will spend $10 mil to attack the Supreme Court.  But there are some details Heidi doesn&#8217;t mention.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Erick Erickson (@EWErickson) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/EWErickson\/status\/1808125282722672878?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 2, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><\/span> <\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Other recent stories by Przybyla include multiple pieces on Federalist Society Co-Chair Leonard Leo being <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2023\/11\/15\/leonard-leo-firm-conservative-nonprofit-00127488\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">active<\/a> in the conservative non-profit world and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2023\/12\/29\/oklahoma-public-christian-schools-00132534\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">promoting Christianity<\/a> in K-12 classrooms. In February, Przybyla hysterically <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2024\/02\/20\/donald-trump-allies-christian-nationalism-00142086\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported <\/a>that the re-election of former President Donald Trump would be a victory for \u201cChristian nationalism.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cTrump allies prepare to infuse \u2018Christian nationalism\u2019 in second administration,\u201d Przybyla headlined her story, writing \u201cChristian nationalists in America believe that the country was founded as a Christian nation and that Christian values should be prioritized throughout government and public life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Przybyla <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/02\/23\/politico-reporter-embarrasses-herself-attempting-to-defend-christian-nationalism-smears\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">defended <\/a>her reporting on MSNBC. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe one thing that unites them as Christian nationalists \u2014 not Christians by the way, because Christian nationalists is very different \u2014 is that they believe that our rights as Americans, as all human beings, don\u2019t come from any earthly authority; they don\u2019t come from Congress; they don\u2019t come from the Supreme Court \u2014 they come from God,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Federalist Senior Editor David Harsanyi pointed out the same themes presented as \u201cextremist\u201d under the umbrella of \u201cChristian nationalism\u201d by Przybyla were also the foundational values that set the stage for American democracy in the first place. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf This Is \u2018Christian Nationalism,\u2019 Sign Me Up!\u201d Harsanyi <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/02\/27\/if-this-is-christian-nationalism-sign-me-up\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">headlined <\/a>his response.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>As numerous critics have already pointed out, \u2018Christian nationalism\u2019 sounds identical to the case for American liberty offered in the Declaration of Independence. Then again, the idea that man has inalienable, universal rights goes back to ancient Greece, at least. The entire American project is contingent on accepting the notion that the state can\u2019t give or take our God-given freedoms. It is the best kind of \u2018extremism.\u2019<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>And yet Przybyla would go on to publish <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/magazine\/2024\/02\/29\/the-right-way-to-cover-the-intersection-of-religion-and-politics-00144261\">commentary<\/a> on \u201cThe Right Way to Cover the Intersection of Religion and Politics.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Przybyla seems obsessed with going after the conservative legal movement in particular. In 2018, she <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2018\/10\/04\/nbc-owes-brett-kavanaugh-retraction-apology-perjury-claims-based-ramirez-texts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">participated<\/a> in the smear campaign against Justice Brett Kavanaugh, and last year she published another <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/04\/25\/politicos-hit-on-neil-gorsuch-is-another-transparent-attempt-to-delegitimize-scotus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">hit piece<\/a> on Justice Neil Gorsuch.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2023\/04\/25\/neil-gorsuch-colorado-property-sale-00093579\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">story<\/a>, headlined \u201cLaw firm head bought Gorsuch-owned property,\u201d accused the justice of impropriety with the claim: \u201cFor nearly two years beginning in 2015, Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch sought a buyer for a 40-acre tract of property he co-owned in rural Granby, Colo.\u201d Gorsuch apparently left the \u201cIdentity of buyer\/seller\u201d blank for the estate transaction during his nomination process in 2017. <\/p>\n<p>Harsanyi examined \u201call the disclosure forms of Supreme Court Justices in 2017\u201d and explained \u201cnone of them made a single notation in that column for any transaction.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs far as I can tell, that line has never seen as much as a scribble from any justice in any year,\u201d Harsanyi <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/04\/25\/politicos-hit-on-neil-gorsuch-is-another-transparent-attempt-to-delegitimize-scotus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a>. \u201cPolitico is holding Gorsuch to a completely new standard.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The estate, meanwhile, was sold just nine days after the justice\u2019s confirmation, before he even ruled on a single case, to a lawyer at Colorado\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/senate-confirms-huawei-linked-lobbyist-to-intel-post\/\" title=\"Senate Confirms Huawei-Linked Lobbyist to Intel Post\">largest law firm<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Przybyla followed the story several days later with another story headlined, \u201cLeonard Leo used Federalist Society contact to obtain $1.6B donation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLeonard Leo,\u201d she reported, \u201cwho helped to choose judicial nominees for former President Donald Trump, obtained a historic $1.6 billion gift for his conservative legal network via an introduction through the Federalist Society, whose tax status forbids political activism.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWho knows, maybe Przybyla is under the impression that it\u2019s illegal for one-time employees of 501(c)(3)s to interact with any prospective political donors they meet through old acquaintances,\u201d Harsanyi <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/05\/02\/another-day-another-shoddy-politico-hit-piece-aimed-at-the-conservative-legal-movement\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a>. \u201cSorry.
