A panel of judges has ordered white nationalist leaders and organizations \u200cinvolved in the Charlottesville, Virginia, \u200bUnite the Right\u2064 rally to pay \u2064an additional million<\/a> in damages to people with physical or emotional injuries from \u2064the event. The initial ruling in 2021 required them to \u200dpay $26 million, which was later reduced to $350,000 to be shared among eight \u200cplaintiffs. \u2062However, a three-judge panel for \u2063the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals reinstated the $2 million punitive damages<\/a> \u200daward, with each plaintiff now set to receive $350,000.
