Rep. Victoria\u200d Spartz (R-IN) was \u2064 charged<\/a> with a\u200d weapons violation<\/a>\u200b at Washington Dulles International Airport in Virginia \u200dfor carrying an unloaded handgun in her carry-on luggage. TSA officials \u2063prevented her from bringing the firearm onto an\u200b international flight<\/a>. In \u200da statement, Spartz claimed she accidentally \u2064brought the\u200b gun without realizing it was in her suitcase pocket. Spartz apologized for the mistake and emphasized that she has always been a strong supporter of Second Amendment rights.
