She asserted that the ruling essentially declared that the president is \u201cin effect a king\u201d on \u201cthe eve of Independence Day.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHey guys, so \u2026 over the last, you know, several days, there\u2019s been a lot of conversation about a certain old person who had a really bad debate last week,\u201d Reid began her rant on Monday afternoon, several hours after the ruling.<\/p>\n<p>She continued, \u201cWell, today the Supreme Court just made all of that completely irrelevant.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She then talked about the timing of Monday\u2019s ruling coinciding with the Independence Day holiday on Thursday, saying the Supreme Court has granted \u201cKing\u201d Trump \u201cmonarch-like powers.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-tiktok wp-block-embed-tiktok\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"tiktok-embed\" cite=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@joyreidofficial\/video\/7386716319481203999\" data-video-id=\"7386716319481203999\" data-embed-from=\"oembed\" style=\"max-width:605px; Enjoy yourselves, intellectual thought leaders,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI no longer care. Doesn\u2019t matter to me anymore. It\u2019s above me now,\u201d the MSNBC host said. \u201cThere\u2019s a Waffle House next door. There\u2019s a Best Western next door as well. It\u2019s above me now. It\u2019s above Joe Biden now.
