The license of a third New Jersey club, the Trump National Golf Club Philadelphia, was renewed.<\/p>\n<p>The two <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/timothy-nash-brace-yourself-america-these-things-are-going-to-get-expensive\/\" title=\"Timothy Nash: Brace Yourself, America: These Things Are Going to Get Expensive\">golf clubs<\/a> with expired liquor licenses were issued temporary permits allowing them to continue serving <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/alcohol\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>alcohol<\/a> until a July 19 hearing to determine whether the licenses will be renewed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring such a hearing, the applicant bears the burden of proof to demonstrate by a preponderance of the evidence that they remain qualified to maintain licensure, which includes a review of any beneficiaries of the licenses,\u201d the state Attorney General\u2019s Office said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/trump-liquor-licenses-felony-convictions-new-jersey-4d87f37dcd9e5bf3fa8b0094d327caf7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The hearing will take place after Trump\u2019s sentencing on July 11.<\/p>\n<p>New Jersey law <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/business\/3042212\/trump-organization-pushes-back-inquiry-liquor-licenses\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>prohibits<\/a> anyone who has \u201cbeen convicted of a crime involving moral turpitude\u201d from holding a liquor license.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe term \u2018moral turpitude\u2019 denotes a serious crime from the viewpoint of society in general and usually contains elements of dishonesty, fraud, or depravity,\u201d New Jersey law states.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/trump-organization\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Trump Organization<\/a> argued that Trump himself was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/business\/3042212\/trump-organization-pushes-back-inquiry-liquor-licenses\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>not the holder<\/a> of the liquor licenses after the state\u2019s attorney general announced that the licenses were under review last month.<\/p>\n<p>But a spokesperson for the attorney general said Trump \u201cmaintains a direct beneficial interest in the three liquor licenses through the receipt of revenues and profits from them, as the sole beneficiary of the Donald J.
