The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reported\u200b that these sandwiches were distributed \u2063across 14 states including\u200b Arkansas, California, Florida, \u2064Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, \u200bMaryland, Missouri, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and\u2062 Virginia. The\u200b products involved, listed under brands \u2064like Classic Delight and Wakefield, and\u200d spanning various sandwich types from \u200bsubs to \u2063bagels, are urged to be either \u2063discarded or \u2064returned\u200b to the purchase\u2064 location \u200bfor a refund. The recall \u200bcame after tests confirmed\u200d the presence of the bacteria, prompting the \u2062cessation of\u200d production of\u2062 the affected \u2063items\u2063 until \u2064the contamination source is identified. Although\u2062 no illnesses have\u2064 been \u2064reported yet, the FDA emphasizes the severe risks of Listeria, which \u200ccan cause\u200d serious infections in vulnerable groups and symptoms like fever\u200b and nausea in \u2062others. The recall initiative started on June 10.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<header> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/news\/\">  News <\/a>  <\/p>\n<h2>Food Sold Across US Heartland Recalled, Tens of Thousands of Cases Flagged<\/h2>\n<p> <span> <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/author\/russdavis\/\">  <\/a> <\/p>\n<p> <span>  &nbsp;By <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/author\/russdavis\/%20\"><span>Jack Davis<\/span><\/a> <\/span> <span>  &nbsp;June 28, 2024 at 12:53pm <\/span> <\/span>  <\/header>\n<section>\n<p>Thousands of cases of prepared sandwiches are being recalled over the potential that they carry a harmful bacteria.<\/p>\n<p>Classic Delight LLC of St. Mary&rsquo;s, Ohio issued the recall due to potential <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/deadly-outbreak-triggers-recall-products-sold-walmart-costco-stores\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">contamination<\/a> with Listeria monocytogenes, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/safety\/recalls-market-withdrawals-safety-alerts\/classic-delight-llc-issues-public-health-alert-due-possible-health-risk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Food and Drug Administration<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/sandwich-recall-map-14-states-impacted-1918717\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Newsweek<\/a>, the sandwiches being recalled were sold in 14 states: &nbsp;Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, Missouri, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.accessdata.fda.gov\/scripts\/ires\/?Event=94789\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FDA lists<\/a> the lot numbers and buy-by dates as well as the number of cases of sandwiches being recalled, which number in the thousands.<\/p>\n<p>The products being <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/hormel-foods-announces-recall-toss-anything-two-codes-immediately\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recalled<\/a> are:<\/p>\n<p>Under the names <em>Classic Delight: Twin Chili Cheese Dog; Turkey Ham and Cheese Sub; Turkey Cheese Sub; Turkey Cheese Round; Twin Breaded Chicken Sliders; Breaded Chicken Waffle<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Under the names <em>Wakefield: Charbroiled Cheeseburger; Ham Cheddar Pretzel Croissant; Chorizo Egg Ciabatta; Ham Egg Cheese Muffin; Ham Egg Cheese Croissant; Bacon Egg and Cheese Bagel; Sausage Egg and Cheese Biscuit; Pretzel Bacon Angus Cheeseburger; Sausage Egg and Cheese Muffin; Southern Chicken Biscuit; Bacon Cheeseburger; Spicy Hawaiian Sliders; Blazin Chicken; Bacon Egg and Cheese Bagel; Charbroiled Cheeseburger; Sausage Egg and Cheese Biscuit; Chicken and Cheese; Sausage Egg Pancake<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Under the brands <em>Nutrisystem: Turkey Sausage and Egg Muffin<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone who has the items should either <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/check-refrigerator-pantry-400-products-recalled\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">throw them out<\/a> or bring them to the place of purchase for a refund.<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Have you ever bought something later subject to a recall?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Listeria monocytogenes is a bacteria that can cause serious infections in children, older adults and those with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/cdc-advisers-to-discuss-covid-booster-shots-for-those-with-weakened-immune-systems\/\" title=\"CDC advisers to discuss COVID booster shots for those with weakened immune systems\">compromised immune systems<\/a>, the FDA warned.<\/p>\n<p>Healthy people can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/you-do-not-want-to-get-dengue-fever-check-these-photos\/\" title=\"Avoid Dengue Fever.
