Is it the &#039;Bud Light Effect&#039;?\">month-long celebration<\/a>, suggesting that\u200d such recognition might be more appropriately reserved\u2063 for veterans and the military. Criticism of MLB &#8220;pride nights&#8221; extends beyond the Rangers, \u2064with incidents like the Los\u2062 Angeles Dodgers&#8217; controversial honor of an anti-Christian drag group leading to backlash. But the Rangers continue to side with their fans&rsquo; values despite the mounting pressure. This year, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/dems-lost-all-credibility-on-social-distancing-after-biden-celebrations\/\" title=\"Dems Lost All Credibility On Social Distancing After Biden Celebrations\">corporate media<\/a> have again reached a fever pitch about the Rangers&rsquo; refusal to celebrate &ldquo;pride night.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The Texas Rangers are frustrating LGBTQ+ advocates as the only MLB team without a Pride Night,&rdquo; reads an Associated Press <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/rangers-pride-mlb-lgbtq-4671a9124b12cf2b67f1bfbf405af99b\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">headline<\/a> from June 24.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Local news stations <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NBCDFW\/status\/1805458716184953161\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NBC Dallas-Fort Worth<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ksatnews\/status\/1805330086071079130\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ABC San Antonio<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KPRC2\/status\/1805311203767410714\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NBC Houston<\/a> also piled on the Rangers by republishing variations of the AP article. But their audiences on X were quick to correct them, flooding the replies with support for the Rangers.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I have never been more proud to be a 10th generation Texan,&rdquo; <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/deepspacetictac\/status\/1805367098559906027\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">commented<\/a> user &ldquo;Dallas Alice.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The Rangers better be careful or they might risk selling fewer tickets to&hellip; checks notes&hellip; double-checks&hellip; yes, LGBTQ+ advocates?&rdquo; <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/dansedmonson\/status\/1805374791978807729\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wrote<\/a> X user Dan Edmonson.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Former Rangers pitcher Derek Holland also spoke out in support of the team. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Dutch_Oven45\/status\/1805391643052589544\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Responding<\/a> to yet another hit piece from ABC Dallas criticizing the team for being the &ldquo;only&rdquo; one without a &ldquo;pride night,&rdquo; Holland posted a meme of the team&rsquo;s mascot with a caption reading, &ldquo;That&rsquo;s a Rangers win.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<div>\n<p>Holland further explained his reasoning in the replies.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Nobody cares if you&rsquo;re gay or lesbian or whatever. Don&rsquo;t need a whole month to celebrate. Have a day and move on,&rdquo; he <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Dutch_Oven45\/status\/1805414069287207385\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wrote<\/a>. &ldquo;You wanna celebrate a month for something then do it for the veterans and our military who sacrifice it all for us to be where we are today. Real heroes!&rdquo;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Fans and players alike are frustrated by these agenda-driven stunts. Most Americans don&rsquo;t want to be bombarded with virtue signaling or the obligatory celebration of niche sexual behavior while watching the game.<\/p>\n<p>This is why MLB &ldquo;pride nights&rdquo; have caused irreparable damage to both the reputation of the league and to the sport itself. <\/p>\n<p>For example, last June, the Los Angeles Dodgers honored the pornographic, <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/05\/23\/the-anti-christian-los-angeles-dodgers-deserve-the-bud-light-treatment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">anti-Christian<\/a> drag group &ldquo;Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence&rdquo; during one of these &ldquo;pride nights.&rdquo; The team saw <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncronline.org\/news\/la-dodgers-honor-sisters-perpetual-indulgence-protest-draws-hundreds\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">backlash<\/a> when it brought this group of men, cross-dressed in <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/05\/23\/the-anti-christian-los-angeles-dodgers-deserve-the-bud-light-treatment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">mockery<\/a> of nuns and the Christian faith, on the field before a mostly empty stadium.<\/p>\n<p>But many MLB teams like the Yankees are still tone-deaf and continue to push LGBT ideology. <\/p>\n<p>The New York team even has a scholarship program that confers five annual awards to students who &ldquo;have demonstrated &hellip; impactful support for the LGBTQ+ community.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Simply put, the Yankees are an ally to the LGBTQ+ community, and Yankee Stadium will always be a place where people can feel safe and encouraged to celebrate who they are,&rdquo; said Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mlb.com\/press-release\/press-release-yankees-to-celebrate-new-york-s-legacy-of-pride-on-june-18-2024#:~:text=%E2%80%9COur%20efforts%20to%20nurture%20the,it%20brings%20to%20our%20world.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">press release<\/a> announcing the scholarship awards earlier this month.<\/p>\n<p>But the Rangers abstaining from events like &ldquo;pride night&rdquo; sends a powerful message: Not everyone supports this movement.<\/p>\n<p>When pressed about the refusal to host a &ldquo;pride night,&rdquo; the Rangers issued a <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/rangers-pride-mlb-lgbtq-4671a9124b12cf2b67f1bfbf405af99b\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">statement<\/a> to the AP that the team hopes to &ldquo;create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment for fans and employees&rdquo; by making &ldquo;everyone feel welcome and included in Rangers baseball &mdash; in our ballpark, at every game, and in all we do.&rdquo; <\/p>\n<p>This attitude is what the other 29 MLB teams are missing. Baseball is not about making a political statement, but about bringing fans together.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Baseball has already taken a back seat to football, with only 10 percent of Americans calling it their favorite sport, according to a recent <a href=\"https:\/\/news.gallup.com\/poll\/610046\/football-retains-dominant-position-favorite-sport.aspx#:~:text=Forty%2Done%20percent%20of%20U.S.%20adults%20in%20late%202023%20name,Americans%27%20favorite%20sport%20to%20watch.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Gallup<\/a> poll.
