The draft specifies the court\u2019s decision in a 6-3 vote to allow emergency abortions in Idaho,\u200d specifically to safeguard the mother&#8217;s \u2062health\u2014beyond immediate \u2062life-threatening conditions. Mentioned examples where abortion could be justified include conditions such as\u2063 the\u2062 potential loss of the mother&#8217;s fertility, which, although \u2063devastating, raises ethical debates about the conditions under which abortions may be permissible. The leak, described \u2064as accidental, follows a previous significant abortion-related leak (Dobbs v. Jackson Women\u2019s Health Organization) and brings renewed \u200dfocus on the complexities and contentious nature\u2062 of abortion laws in the\u2063 U.S. The article \u200creflects a critical stance on \u2063the decision and broader ideological conflicts about abortion \u2062rights. Additionally, it ends with a plea for financial support from \u200dreaders to help fight against the perceived opposition from\u200c &#8220;Big \u2062Tech and elite&#8221; forces.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<header> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/commentary\/\">  Commentary <\/a>  <\/p>\n<h2>Supreme Court Accidentally Leaks Draft Opinion in Key Case &#8211; It Doesn&#8217;t Look Good<\/h2>\n<p> <span> <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/author\/maustin\/\">  <\/a> <\/p>\n<p> <span>   By <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/author\/maustin\/%20\"><span>Michael Austin<\/span><\/a> <\/span> <span>   June 27, 2024 at 11:20am <\/span> <\/span>  <\/header>\n<section>\n<p>An accidental leak of an upcoming Supreme Court decision brings with it sad and disturbing news for pro-lifers in Idaho.<\/p>\n<p>The leaked opinion was briefly available on the official U.S. Supreme Court website before being pulled down Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/news.bloomberglaw.com\/us-law-week\/us-supreme-court-poised-to-allow-emergency-abortions-in-idaho\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bloomberg Law<\/a> saved a copy of the decision, which reveals that \u2014 if true \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/idaho-lawmakers-push-bill-treat-abortion-really-murder\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Idaho\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-spreads-likely-bogus-media-story-about-pregnant-10-year-old-in-making-case-for-abortion\/\" title=\"Biden Spreads Likely-Bogus Media Story About Pregnant 10-Year-Old in Making Case for Abortion\">recent abortion ban<\/a><\/a> will be partially rolled back.<\/p>\n<p>In a 6-3 decision, the court decided that the mother\u2019s general health (not life mind you \u2014 abortion procedures to protect the mother\u2019s <em>life<\/em> were already allowed under the law, as noted near the beginning of the leaked document) and the threat a pregnancy may pose to it are just grounds for murdering an unborn child.<\/p>\n<p>More specifically, according to Bloomberg Law, the decision \u201cwould reinstate a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/texas-law-enforcement-deputized-ordered-to-arrest-rogue-democratic-lawmakers-immediately\/\" title=\"Texas Law Enforcement Deputized, Ordered To Arrest Rogue Democratic Lawmakers \u2018Immediately\u2019\">lower court order<\/a> that had ensured hospitals in the state could perform emergency abortions to protect the health of the mother.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>One example of a health condition the decision deemed to be worthy of killing a baby over is \u201cthe loss of her fertility.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Make no mistake, such a result of a pregnancy would be no doubt devastating.<\/p>\n<p>But is it worth killing a baby over?<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, the potential \u201charm\u201d to women\u2019s health noted in <a href=\"https:\/\/assets.bwbx.io\/documents\/users\/iqjWHBFdfxIU\/rJo5436tVr08\/v0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the leaked document<\/a> could be interpreted rather liberally.<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Do you trust the Supreme Court?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The list includes many common health conditions associated with pregnancy, nausea, diabetes, high blood pressure and many, many others.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, some of these conditions, taken to extremes, are certainly harmful to a woman\u2019s health.<\/p>\n<p>So, will this law then allow for abortions in the mildest instances of all those issues? If so, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/developing-trigger-laws-activating-across-america-outlawing-abortion-wake-roe-reversal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Idaho\u2019s ban<\/a> might as well have been eliminated completely.<\/p>\n<p>This is the second time in recent memory that a Supreme Court decision was leaked. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/justice-alito-claims-pretty-good-idea-dobbs-leaker-sabotage-created-rift-scotus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The first<\/a> was the well-known Dobbs v. Jackson Women\u2019s Health Organization case which overturned Roe v. Wade.<\/p>\n<p>Curiously enough, both leaked cases involved abortion law.<\/p>\n<p>Since the right to have sex without consequences by murdering those consequences is such an important issue for the so-called \u201ctolerant\u201d left, this writer wouldn\u2019t be surprised if the first leak was intentional.<\/p>\n<p>This most recent leak, however, appears to be merely an accident.<\/p>\n<p>Regardless, it spells terrible news for the rights of the preborn in Idaho.<\/p>\n<p>If we want to create a truly just and free society like the left is always claiming to want, we need to start things off by protecting the most vulnerable among us.<\/p>\n<p>Too bad we\u2019re going to have to fight tooth and nail against the far-left social justice activists to make that happen.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<div>\n<p><b><i>An Important Message from Our Staff:<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span>We who work here at The Western Journal have fought for years against Big Tech and the elites who want to shut us down and then shut America down. <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>Make no mistake \u2014 nothing will be the same after November 2024.
