They have earmarked $46 million for advertising \u2062across 22 districts in 29 media \u2062markets, with a focus on 13 \u2064districts currently under Democratic control. This move is part\u2064 of their broader strategy to not only preserve their\u2064 majority but also to\u2063 potentially grow it. Specific attention is being given to five\u200c House \u2064races where districts voted for Trump in 2020 but elected Democratic representatives. These\u2064 include areas represented by Jared Golden, Marie Gluesenkamp Perez,\u2064 Mary Peltola, Marcy \u200bKaptur, and Matt Cartwright. \u2063This \u2063aggressive funding \u200dstrategy underscores the NRCC&#8217;s commitment to shifting the House majority further in favor of the Republicans, highlighting opportunities they see from \u200dAlaska to Maine.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>While the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/nrcc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>National Republican Congressional Committee<\/a> is spending money to protect vulnerable <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/house-republicans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>House seats<\/a>, they\u2019re also moving to the offensive to try and flip some Democrat-held seats. <\/p>\n<p>The NRCC has plans to reserve $46 million in advertising ahead of November in 22 different districts and 29 media markets. Of that, 13 of the seats are currently held by Democrats, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nrcc.org\/2024\/06\/27\/nrcc-ie-reserves-45-7-million-in-first-round-of-ad-reservations-to-grow-the-house-majority\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>memo<\/a>, which signals an offensive approach. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe NRCC committed from Day One to not just hold our majority, but go on offense to grow our majority \u2013 today we are putting our money where our mouth is,\u201d said NRCC Chairman Richard Hudson.<\/p>\n<p>A quarter of total spending will be used on five House races in districts that voted for then-President Donald Trump in 2020, but voted in a Democrat to represent them in the House. The spending there will target Rep. Jared Golden (D-ME), Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (D-WA), Mary Peltola (D-AK), Marcy Kaptur (D-OH) and Matt Cartwright (D-PA).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe map is moving toward Republicans, providing opportunities to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/an-illinois-dem-helped-biden-cancel-keystone-now-shes-campaigning-on-us-energy-independence\/\" title=\"An Illinois Dem Helped Biden Cancel Keystone. Now, She\u2019s Campaigning on US Energy Independence.\">flip seats<\/a> from Alaska to Maine,\u201d Tom Erickson, the NRCC\u2019s independent expenditure director, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2024\/06\/27\/nrcc-advertising-spending-fall-00165259?nname=playbook&#038;nid=0000014f-1646-d88f-a1cf-5f46b7bd0000&#038;nrid=849aba7f-f4d5-44d1-8dff-3ca5fb878b65&#038;nlid=630318\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>wrote<\/a> in a memo.<\/p>\n<p>The NRCC is also looking to protect some vulnerable House Republicans, who\u2019s districts have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/mike-lawler-dodges-endorsing-trumps-reelection-bid-focused-on-my-district\/\" title=\"Mike Lawler avoids endorsing Trump for reelection, stating, \"I'm focused on serving my district.\">voted increasingly blue<\/a> in recent years. Reps. David Schweikert (R-AZ), Lori Chavez-DeRemer (R-OR), Marc Molinaro (R-NY) and Don Bacon (R-NE) all represent districts that President Joe Biden won in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The Portland, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/Oregon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Oregon<\/a>, market will see the largest investment from the NRCC, with $6 million currently set aside to protect Chavez-DeRemer\u2019s seat or launch attack ads against Gluesenkamp Perez. <\/p>\n<p>The Congressional Leadership Fund, a super PAC, is investing more in the expensive Los Angeles and New York City TV markets, which could signal the CLF will take the lead with advertising in those large markets. The CLF also bought into vulnerable TV markets that the NRCC did not buy into, like the Tucson, Arizona, Norfolk, Virginia, and Des Moines, Iowa areas.<\/p>\n<p>There are some markets that have been left untouched by the NRCC like the Pittsburgh market, Las Vegas, and the state of Montana.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title><strong>CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The NRCC\u2019s counterpart, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, has announced lower spending thus far, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/2024\/06\/18\/dccc-television-ad-buys\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>a $28 million <\/a>investment announced earlier this month.
