Production Act, has the potential to have a cataclysmic impact on domestic energy production, which is still predominantly powered by fossil fuels.<\/p>\n<p>By prioritizing the production of solar panels, heat pumps and other \u201cclean energy\u201d technologies, the administration\u2019s stated aim is to reduce the nation\u2019s dependence on oil and gas for energy needs.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the focus on \u201cclean energy\u201d is likely to be accompanied by stricter regulations on oil and gas production.<\/p>\n<p>This could include ever-more-stringent environmental standards, tightening restrictions on new drilling permits and soaring costs for compliance with new regulations.<\/p>\n<p>Such measures could make oil and gas production in the U.S. more challenging, more expensive and less globally competitive.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the emphasis on clean energy technologies might drive investment away from traditional oil and gas projects, strangling the recently surging domestic oil and gas industry.<\/p>\n<p>On top of the billions allocated to the \u201cclean energy\u201d sector by federal actions such as the ironically named Inflation Reduction Act, the Biden administration said in a \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/statements-releases\/2022\/06\/06\/fact-sheet-president-biden-takes-bold-executive-action-to-spur-domestic-clean-energy-manufacturing\/#:~:text=Since%20President%20Biden%20took%20office,and%20other%20cutting%2Dedge%20technologies.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fact sheet<\/a>\u201d that \u201cthe private sector has committed over $100 billion in new private capital to make electric vehicles and batteries in the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As the government and private sector allocate more capital toward renewable energy infrastructure, oil and gas companies may find it harder to attract investment for new exploration and production projects.<\/p>\n<p>This shift in capital could result in a slowdown of new oil and gas developments, putting oil and gas investments at risk \u2014 and our domestic energy security in a precarious state.<\/p>\n<p>Industries that are poised to profit significantly from the federal government\u2019s thumb on the scales include high-efficiency appliance manufacturing and alternate energy sources such as hydrogen, wind and solar \u2026 but especially solar.<\/p>\n<p>Under President Joe Biden\u2019s Defense Production Act <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/statements-releases\/2022\/06\/06\/fact-sheet-president-biden-takes-bold-executive-action-to-spur-domestic-clean-energy-manufacturing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">proclamation<\/a>, the domestic solar manufacturing capacity is projected to triple to 22.5 gigawatts by the end of his term in January 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The administration predicts the increase in domestic solar manufacturing will create numerous jobs in the manufacturing, installation and maintenance of solar panels and contribute significantly toward overall economic growth.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, by using the \u201cbig stick\u201d of federal procurement and master supply agreements, the administration claims consumers could see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/scalise-biden-didnt-run-as-the-most-far-left-big-government-socialist-in-u-s-history\/\" title=\"Scalise: Biden Didn't Run as 'the Most Far-Left Big Government Socialist' in U.S. History\">lower energy costs<\/a> and manufacturers and solar power providers could see explosive economic growth.<\/p>\n<p>The heavy hand of the Biden administration is not only making the U.S. less competitive internationally in the oil and gas market, it\u2019s also making oil investment less attractive to many investors.<\/p>\n<p>Investors who
