Additionally, the Western Journal issued a plea for donations to \u200bcontinue fighting against elite control and censorship, emphasizing their financial struggles and \u2064the critical support \u200bthey need from readers.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<header> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/news\/\">  News <\/a>   <span> <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/author\/russdavis\/\">  <\/a> <\/p>\n<p> <span>   By <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/author\/russdavis\/%20\"><span>Jack Davis<\/span><\/a> <\/span> <span>   June 26, 2024 at 7:28am <\/span> <\/span>  <\/header>\n<section>\n<p>An Atlanta judge who was arrested last week after a nightclub scuffle with a police officer has been removed from office.<\/p>\n<p>Douglas County Probate Judge Christina Peterson was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gasupreme.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/s22z0180.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">removed from office<\/a> Tuesday by the Georgia Supreme Court, culminating a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ohio-supreme-court-suspends-judge-boots-bench-unprecedented-misconduct\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">process<\/a> that began in 2021, when initial complaints about her were filed.<\/p>\n<p>Separately, Peterson was charged Thursday with felony obstruction of a police officer by using threats or violence and simple battery against a police officer, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox5atlanta.com\/news\/douglas-county-probate-judge-christina-peterson-arrested-felony-atlanta\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WAGA-TV<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/BREAKING?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#BREAKING<\/a>: Douglas County Probate Judge Christina J. Peterson was arrested at a Buckhead nightclub early Thursday and charged with battery, accused of striking an officer on the head and refusing to identify herself, records show.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/fnZNqKEJmH\">https:\/\/t.co\/fnZNqKEJmH<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Atlanta Journal-Constitution (@ajc) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ajc\/status\/1803802547557216279?\">June 20, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>According to documents, buttressed by bodycam footage, an off-duty officer working at the Red Martini Restaurant and Lounge in the Atlanta suburb of Buckhead was hit in the head by a woman when he went to speak to another woman at the club who was crying.<\/p>\n<p>Peterson <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/philadelphia-influencer-challenged-police-arrest-looting-cries-hit-6-felonies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">refused<\/a> to identify herself and \u201cappeared to be under the influence,\u201d a police report said.<\/p>\n<p>The Atlanta Police Department released the bodycam video footage on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>WARNING: The following video contains vulgar language that some viewers may find offensive.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p> <iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Arrest of Christina Peterson\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/kEQTb9h7SXk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen   style=\"display:none\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The incident came days before the state ruled that Peterson should be removed, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atlantanewsfirst.com\/2024\/06\/25\/supreme-court-georgia-orders-removal-judge-christina-peterson\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Atlanta News First<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>\u201cDouglas County Probate Court Judge Christina Peterson has been charged with a number of violations of the Code of Judicial Conduct (CJC), including a number of violations that the Judicial Qualifications Commission (JQC) says exhibited a pattern of judicial misconduct while in office,\u201d the state Supreme Court said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe JQC Hearing Panel found that Judge Peterson violated multiple rules in the CJC and that those violations warrant her removal from the bench,\u201d the court said.<\/p>\n<p>In one case, Peterson sought to jail a native of Thailand who wanted to change the name listed as her father on her marriage license application, claiming the woman was committing fraud in trying to bring her mother to the United States. Peterson ordered her locked up on a contempt charge, then had her released after she paid a fine.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJudge Peterson made an unsubstantiated finding that the petitioner was somehow attempting to defraud the court, and then unjustifiably held her in contempt,\u201d the court said, adding that \u201cJudge Peterson\u2019s untruthful testimony in this respect underscores her conscious wrongdoing\u00a0\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The ruling also upheld conclusions of a hearing that Peterson \u201cmade multiple frivolous requests for middle-of-the-night courthouse access without any showing that she in fact intended to be in the building during these times\u2014and plainly without consideration of the taxpayer expense that comes with paying multiple deputies overtime for each such demand.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The court also said that she had \u201cabused the courthouse panic button system when, losing patience after waiting only several minutes, she accelerated her deputy escort\u2019s arrival via that button rather than by phone or e-mail.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It found that her actions \u201craise grave concerns about [her] general judicial demeanor and the manner in which she treats others.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Peterson was further <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ny-judge-shirtless-meltdown-parking-spot-shoved-cop-loses-spot-bench\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sanctioned for conduct<\/a> while in the middle of a lawsuit against her neighborhood homeowners association. The court said she broke judicial conduct rules and her \u201cfeigned ignorance\u201d and \u201cattempts to avoid responsibility\u201d for the violation in her testimony \u201cbordered on the farcical, severely eroding her credibility with the Hearing Panel.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The judge also was punished for conduct in the case of a woman seeking a year\u2019s support from the estate of her late husband.<\/p>\n<p>The court noted that during hearings on her conduct, Peterson was \u201c\u2018disingenuous, if not outright dishonest\u2019 \u2026 because she provided untruthful or evasive testimony.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She is now banned from serving as a judge in Georgia for seven years.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<div>\n<p><b><i>An Important Message from Our Staff:<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span>We who work here at The Western Journal have fought for years against Big Tech and the elites who want to shut us down and then shut America down. <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>Make no mistake \u2014 nothing will be the same after November 2024.
