After transitioning from a player to various assistant\u200d coaching roles, Pierce became \u2064the Raiders&#8217; interim head \u200dcoach during the 2023-2024 NFL season, taking over \u200dfrom Josh McDaniels. As a guarantor, he is now \u200cresponsible\u200d for over $28 million \u2063in judgments. This <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/uaw-strike-deadlock-continues-experts-fear-repercussions\/\" title=\"UAW strike deadlock persists, repercussions feared by experts.\">financial \u2064crisis<\/a> has led to his wife, Jocelyn Pierce, filing for bankruptcy. The lenders are attempting to claim the judgments from the couple&#8217;s marital assets. Jocelyn has been forced to \u2064request an\u2062 extension\u200d for filing necessary documents to shield their assets from \u200dcreditors. Lenders now seek to satisfy judgments from marital assets. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Eiw5QRA3VY\">pic.twitter.com\/Eiw5QRA3VY<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Jason Morrin (@Jason_Morrin) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Jason_Morrin\/status\/1805594802513150416?\">June 25, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cJocelyn Pierce, wife of Raiders Coach Antonio Pierce, files for bankruptcy,\u201d Morrin reported. \u201cPer the filing, Mr. Pierce invested in car dealerships that defaulted on their loans.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This is where Morrin dropped some eye-watering numbers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[Pierce] was named as a guarantor of judgments=over $28M,\u201d Morrin posted. \u201cLenders now seek to satisfy judgments from marital assets.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In a short thread, Morrin further explained just how bad things were getting for the Pierce family.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">In the filing, Mrs. Pierce requests an extension of time to file documents required by Rule 1007(b)(1):<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Debtor was forced to file quickly and with little preparation to protect her assets and those of the marital community from Mr. Pierce\u2019s judgment creditors.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/7xk5rOII5e\">pic.twitter.com\/7xk5rOII5e<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Jason Morrin (@Jason_Morrin) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Jason_Morrin\/status\/1805594805809852715?\">June 25, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cMrs. Pierce filed for bankruptcy on 6\/12\/24 but claims she did not sign any personal guaranty on the loans,\u201d Morrin wrote. \u201cNissan Motor Acceptance Corporation (holding a $23M judgment) and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/hyundai-warns-suv-owners-park-outside-vehicles-can-spontaneously-combust-even-off\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hyundai<\/a> Capital America ($4.5M judgment), recently attempted to garnish Mr. Pierce\u2019s wages.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Morrin added that Jocelyn Pierce filed for an extension to file the requested documents.<\/p>\n<p>The snippet of the lawsuit that Morrin did share on X paints Antonio Pierce as someone who didn\u2019t appear to realize what he was signing (emphasis added).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the 2010s, Mr. Pierce was convinced to invest in car dealerships.
