Never mind that Democrat-appointed judges have escaped scrutiny for years despite routinely presiding over political cases.<\/p>\n<p>The idea that Trump had the foresight to know when he appointed Cannon that he would spend days of <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/03\/15\/dragging-trump-into-court-while-biden-campaigns-is-election-interference-regardless-of-verdict\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">precious campaign time<\/a> in her court over a manufactured classified document scandal that his political opponent <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/02\/08\/prosecutors-decline-to-charge-elderly-biden-over-poor-memory\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">managed to escape<\/a> is not just ridiculous. It\u2019s part of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/taking-down-judge-aileen-cannon-1c4bf9ab\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">concerted effort<\/a> by corporate media to discredit Cannon and her commitment to supervising the Trump case with constitutional caution. <\/p>\n<p>Every decision Cannon has made in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/five-key-people-in-the-biden-classified-docs-scandal\/\" title=\"Five Key People in the Biden Classified Docs Scandal\">classified document case<\/a> has stayed within the confines of her authority. In fact, many of the judge\u2019s decrees have been to curb the atrocious infringement of liberty and due process committed by President Joe Biden\u2019s Department of Justice and Special Counsel Jack Smith.<\/p>\n<h2>A Deliberate Double Standard<\/h2>\n<p>The Times accused Cannon of showing \u201cunusual favor to Mr. Trump by intervening in a way that helped him in the criminal investigation that led to his indictment.\u201d The alleged intervention Cannon committed was indefinitely <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/05\/08\/judge-halts-trumps-classified-docs-trial-after-doj-admits-to-evidence-tampering\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">postponing<\/a> the Trump trial after the DOJ <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/05\/06\/filings-jack-smith-tampered-with-evidence-in-get-trump-classified-documents-case\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">admitted<\/a> to tampering with evidence during the FBI\u2019s August 2022 raid on Mar-a-Lago.<\/p>\n<p>Demanding an <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/09\/16\/trump-scores-two-huge-victories-in-fight-for-special-master\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">independent review<\/a> of the documents that Smith claimed Trump harbored illegally is no crime or conflict. Rather, giving the defendant due process, <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/04\/24\/here-are-the-3-most-shocking-discoveries-just-unsealed-in-trump-classified-docs-case\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">unsealing<\/a> documents key to understanding the DOJ\u2019s targeting of Trump, and allowing Trump\u2019s lawyers to <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/06\/07\/this-week-in-lawfare-land-was-jack-smiths-appointment-unconstitutional\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">contest Smith\u2019s appointment as unconstitutional<\/a> were all routine decisions that, if made in any other case, would not raise eyebrows.<\/p>\n<p>The Times, a fierce ally of the Biden regime, however, took issue with these basic actions because Cannon\u2019s decisions have derailed the administration\u2019s attempt to get Trump as many convictions and as much jail time as possible before voting for the 2024 presidential election begins. <\/p>\n<p>When Judge Arthur Engoron <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/10\/02\/left-wing-judge-who-devalued-mar-a-lago-estate-smiles-laughs-at-start-of-trump-trial\/\">smirked at Trump<\/a> in his New York courtroom at the start of New York Attorney General\u00a0Letitia James\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/09\/27\/n-y-judge-cherry-picks-lowball-mar-a-lago-appraisal-to-find-trump-guilty-of-inflating-property-values\/\">weak case<\/a> against the Republican president, he was cheered by the corrupt press. When Cannon <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/donald-trump\/judge-trump-classified-documents-case-reprimands-prosecutor-hearing-rcna158725\">shut down<\/a> a DOJ prosecutor who later admitted that he was acting unprofessionally, however, she was scrutinized.<\/p>\n<p>Cannon, like every other U.S. judge, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.cornell.edu\/uscode\/text\/28\/453\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">took an oath<\/a> to \u201cadminister justice without respect to persons\u201d and \u201cfaithfully and impartially discharge and perform all the duties incumbent upon me \u2026 under the Constitution and laws of the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Her position as presiding jurist in one of the many cases against Trump has not violated that oath. On the contrary, Cannon has gone to great lengths to uphold the due process rights Trump and his defense team were not afforded by courts run by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/donald-trump\/stefanik-files-ethics-complaint-judge-engoron-trump-trial-rcna124554\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">partisan judges<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Cannon isn\u2019t conspiring with the Trump campaign to score him small courtroom victories, as the corrupt press would lead you to believe.
