Prosecutors are demanding she impose a gag order on Trump, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/live-news\/june-24-donald-trump-classified-documents-trial\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fox News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Cannon lashed out at prosecutor David Harbach, saying at one point he was being snippy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t appreciate your tone,\u201d Cannon told Harbach, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/politics\/live-news\/trump-classified-documents-hearing-06-24-24\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CNN<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>She told him she would \u201cappreciate decorum at all times.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you aren\u2019t able to do that, I\u2019m sure one of your colleagues can take up arguing this motion,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>CNN did not report what Harbach said that drew Cannon\u2019s fire, but did report that the attorney later apologized to the judge.<\/p>\n<p>During the hearing, Cannon said that the prosecution needed to specifically connect statements Trump made with any incitement to violence.<\/p>\n<p>The law under which a gag order is being sought \u201cstill requires a finding\u201d that there is a risk associated with a defendant\u2019s speech, she said, according to CNN.<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Is Trump being persecuted?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u201cThere still needs to be a factual connection between A and B,\u201d Cannon said.<\/p>\n<p>During the hearing, Trump defense attorney Todd Blanche said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/allegiance-not-trump-encourages-christians-vote\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trump<\/a> made no threats against FBI agents.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe attacks, very clearly, are against President Biden,\u201d Blanche said of Trump\u2019s communications at issue.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOf course, President Trump has absolutely no desire for anything bad to happen to law enforcement,\u201d Blanche said, referring to a Trump post on his Truth Social platform that declared that the Justice Department \u201cAUTHORIZED THE FBI TO USE DEADLY (LETHAL) FORCE. NOW WE KNOW FOR SURE, THAT JOE BIDEN IS A SERIOUS THREAT TO DEMOCRACY,\u201d according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/national-security\/2024\/06\/24\/trump-cannon-fbi-false-threats\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Washington Post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is a critique of President Biden and his Justice Department and it is completely fair and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/rnc-fires-back-at-trump-says-it-has-every-right-to-use-his-name\/\" title=\"RNC Fires Back at Trump, Says It Has \u2018Every Right\u2019 to Use His Name\">protected political speech<\/a>,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Harbach, however, claimed Trump\u2019s comments are \u201cway out of bounds\u201d and \u201cnothing like speech that should be protected by the First Amendment,\u201d according to CNN.<\/p>\n<p>Blanche said prosecutors are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-trump-sidesteps-judges-gag-order-reads-cnns-news-report-trial\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">too vague<\/a> in their allegations, suggesting they want to punish Trump for comments made by others.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSteve Bannon making a comment is potentially the kind of thing that could send President Trump to jail,\u201d Blanche said.<\/p>\n<p>Also ]during the hearing, defense attorney Emil Bove argued Monday that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/federal-judge-slaps-attempt-place-gag-order-trump-threatens-jack-smith-punishment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">special counsel\u2019s office<\/a> was funded by an unconstitutional \u201cpermanent indefinite appropriation\u201d not covered by the budget process, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/US\/judge-trump-classified-docs-case-questions-government-funding\/story?id=111377205\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ABC<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIs there any cap to the funding?\u201d Cannon asked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo, and I think that is part of the reason \u2026 to be very wary of who can access it and why,\u201d Bove said. \u201cThere is no check on the scope of what\u2019s going on here.\u201d<\/p>\n<hr>\n<div>\n<p><b><i>An Important Message from Our Staff:<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span>In just a few months, the world is going to change forever.
