But blocking access to a house of worship \u2013 and engaging in violence\u2026<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u2014 President Biden (@POTUS) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/POTUS\/status\/1805253626551497103?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 24, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Pro-Palestinian protesters clashed with pro-Israel demonstrators outside of the synagogue on Sunday, the <em>Wall Street Journal <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/us-news\/pro-palestinian-protesters-block-access-to-los-angeles-synagogue-in-violent-clash-7d48098f\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"reported\">reported<\/a>, blocking the entrance in the process.<\/p>\n<p>Several protesters not only shouted slogans but also punched, shoved, or yelled at each other. Adas Torah is located in a heavily Jewish neighborhood of Los Angeles. Antisemitic incidents have been on the rise in the United States, and other Democratic officials joined Biden in condemning the clashes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want to be clear that Los Angeles will not be a harbor for antisemitism and violence,\u201d Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass posted. \u201cThose responsible for either will be found and held accountable.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure>\n<div>\n<blockquote data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Today\u2019s violence in the Pico-Robertson neighborhood today was abhorrent, and blocking access to a place of worship is unacceptable.
