The source of the claim was a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-mocked-for-bizarre-exchange-about-mental-health-with-elmo\/\" title=\"Biden ridiculed for strange mental health conversation... with Elmo\">parody\u2062 account<\/a> on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/zuckerbergs-attempt-to-take-down-musks-twitter-is-tanking-further-and-further-each-day-data-shows\/\" title=\"Zuckerberg's bid to defeat Musk on Twitter is failing more each day, data reveals.\">social \u2062media platform<\/a> X, known \u200cfor posting non-serious content, which incorrectly led audiences to believe it was a legitimate statement from Greene. A spokesperson for Greene denied the tweet\u2019s authenticity in an email to Lead Stories, who reported the claim was false on June 20.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Shawn Harris, who is running against Greene in Georgia\u2019s 14th congressional district as a Democrat, vowed to \u201cfight like hell\u201d to \u201cend\u201d the Republican Congresswoman\u2019s \u201ctoxic career,\u201d according to Newsweek. Harris recently made the remark on X, the outlet reported.<\/p>\n<p>The Threads post, which has received over 100 likes as of writing, purports to show a tweet from Greene about Biden. \u201cEveryone needs to buy more \u2018FVCK JOE BIDEN\u2019 flags and signs. We have an election to win,\u201d the purported tweet from Greene reads. \u201cShe has the mental acuity of a child. Another religious hypocrite,\u201d the post\u2019s caption claims.<\/p>\n<p>The claim is false, however. The purported tweet from Greene <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/MTGrepp\/status\/1802507511775514627\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">originally stems<\/a> from an X account that is known for posting parody. The account <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/MTGrepp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">indicates<\/a> that its content is not meant to be taken literally by including a \u201cparody\u201d label in its bio. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2024\/06\/14\/fact-check-recently-released-ad-biden-campaign\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Is This A Recently Released Ad From The Biden Campaign?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Likewise, an <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/search?lang=en&#038;q=%22Everyone%20needs%20to%20buy%20more%20%27FVCK%20JOE%20BIDEN%27%20Flags%20and%20signs.%20We%20have%20an%20Election%20to%20win%22%20(from%3ARepMTG)%20lang%3Aen&#038;src=typed_query\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">advanced search<\/a> of Greene\u2019s verified X account does not generate the purported remark. Actually, the opposite is true. On June 20, <a href=\"https:\/\/leadstories.com\/hoax-alert\/2024\/06\/fact-check-marjorie-taylor-greene-did-not-tweet-everyone-needs-to-buy-more-fvck-joe-biden-flags.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lead Stories<\/a> reported the claim was false, tracing the remark back to the parody X account.<\/p>\n<p>Greene\u2019s spokesperson, Nick Dyer, confirmed the tweet was not authentic in an email to Lead Stories, the outlet indicated.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA small bit of research shows that this is a parody account not affiliated with Congresswoman Greene,\u201d Dyer said.<\/p>\n<p>Check Your Fact has also contacted Greene\u2019s office for comment and will update this piece accordingly if one is received.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A post on Threads claims to display a tweet from Rep.
