These are all things that Democrats seem to just ignore.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>Read the full story <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/3055266\/gop-democrats-recruitment-doubt-blue-wave\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>here<\/a>. <\/em><\/p>\n<h2>Merchan \u2018man crush\u2019 and Cannon fodder<\/h2>\n<p>Almost as discussed as the former president\u2019s historic appearances in courtrooms up and down the Eastern Seaboard are the judges weighing Trump\u2019s future. <\/p>\n<p>And those judges haven\u2019t <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/if-you-dont-care-about-election-integrity-youre-a-bad-american\/\" title=\"If You Don\u2019t Care About Election Integrity, You\u2019re A Bad American\">received equal treatment<\/a> by legal experts and pundits who have had much harsher words for <strong>Judge Aileen Cannon<\/strong>, who is overseeing Trump\u2019s classified documents case, and <strong>Judge Juan Merchan<\/strong>, who presided over the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/donald-trumps-criminal-hush-money-trial-set-for-march-25\/\" title=\"Trump's hush money trial scheduled for March 25\">hush money trial<\/a> and is responsible for sentencing the former president after he was found guilty on 34 counts related to falsifying business records.<\/p>\n<p>Investigations Editor <strong>Sarah Bedford <\/strong>did a deep dive to look at how these officials charged with treating defendants in their courtrooms equally under the law have not received the same benefits themselves. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cCannon\u2019s decision to allow hearings on a number of challenges from Trump\u2019s defense team in the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/classified-documents\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title> classified documents<\/a> case against him, rather than reject those challenges outright, has enraged many legal commentators. They accuse Cannon of giving Trump favorable treatment, sometimes by citing the fact that the former president appointed her to her position,\u201d Sarah wrote. \u201cBut the legal punditry had far fewer concerns about the appearance of favorable treatment Merchan displayed toward Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who charged Trump with 34 felonies related to a years-old hush money arrangement using a novel legal theory.
