Trump appear to have been conducted in coordination with the United States Department of Justice,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Bailey\u2019s office said that because the lawsuit will be one state suing another, the case would head directly to the U.S. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/tide-turns-state-supreme-court-backs-gop-governor-removal-soros-backed-prosecutor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Supreme Court<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, Bailey summed up his position on Trump\u2019s trial during an appearance before the House Judiciary Committee.<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Do you think Missouri\u2019s legal efforts will be successful?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u201cThe people of the State of Missouri, whom I am tasked with protecting, watched in horror recently as the left\u2019s direct assault on President Trump manifested itself in the form of a politically motivated, legally specious, and corrupt prosecution of the President, which resulted in an errant criminal conviction,\u201d he wrote in his <a href=\"https:\/\/ago.mo.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/AG-Bailey-Final-Written-Testimony-6.13.24.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">prepared remarks<\/a> to the panel.<\/p>\n<p>Bailey wrote that \u201cthe left has prioritized its hatred of President Trump above the rule of law.
