This legislation aims to exempt service workers, like hotel\u2064 employees, from having to pay\u2062 federal income\u2063 tax on tips they earn. Trump had voiced his\u200b support for such a measure\u200c during a rally \u2062in Las Vegas, promising \u200dits immediate implementation if he returned to office. Ted Cruz of Texas is not waiting until after the presidential election to launch a bid to put one of former President Donald Trump\u2019s ideas into effect.<\/p>\n<p>Cruz has introduced the No Tax on Tips Act that would keep the Internal Revenue Service from taking a slice of the income service workers gain through tips, \u00a0according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cruz.senate.gov\/newsroom\/press-releases\/sen-cruz-colleagues-introduce-no-tax-on-tips-act\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news release on Cruz\u2019s website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>During a recent rally in Las Vegas, Trump indicated he opposes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trump-floats-plan-eliminate-income-tax\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">taxes<\/a> on tips, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/campaign\/4713392-donald-trump-taxes-on-tips\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Hill<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor those hotel workers and people that get tips, you\u2019re going to be very happy. Today, I am introducing pro-worker legislation, the No Tax on Tips Act, to ensure they get to keep all of those tips. This legislation is a common-sense pro-worker bill that will help families deal with the historic inflation caused by the Biden administration,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Do you support the No Tax on Tips Act?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The bill is co-sponsored by Republican Sens. Steve Daines of Montana, Rick Scott of Florida and Kevin Cramer of North Dakota.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPresident Trump is right: tips are earned by providing good service. It is simpler and more fair to let these workers keep the reward they earned rather than send it to D.C. bureaucrats,\u201d Cramer said.<\/p>\n<p>Daines said the bill is an antidote to the inflation created by President Joe Biden.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cProviding a much-needed tax cut for working families will help offset Biden\u2019s high prices,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Sean Kennedy, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/flashback-former-ag-barr-initiated-spying-program-on-americans-back-in-1992\/\" title=\"FLASHBACK: Former AG Barr Initiated Spying Program on Americans Back in 1992\">executive vice president<\/a> of public affairs for the National Restaurant Association, said Cruz\u2019s bill \u201cwould provide immediate tax relief for more than 2.2 million restaurant employees and their families, putting more money in their pockets at a time when we\u2019re all feeling the squeeze of higher prices.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Myra Reddy, director of government affairs for the Professional Beauty Association, noted that 1.3 million licensed beauty professionals would also be impacted by the bill.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRestaurant servers, bartenders, and other tip-earning employees give so much to the local businesses and communities they serve\u2014delivering the essential service of food with hospitality that creates lasting memories,\u201d Emily Williams Knight, president and CEO of the Texas Restaurant Association said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s wonderful to create an opportunity to give back to them by helping them keep more of their hard-earned tips that they can invest in their families and our local economy,\u201d Knight said.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cruz.senate.gov\/imo\/media\/doc\/MCG24304.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bill<\/a> would allow Americans to deduct 100 percent of their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/biden-set-create-disastrous-loop-new-1-8-trillion-spending-plan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tipped wages<\/a> when they file their taxes.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<div>\n<p><b><i>An Important Message from Our Staff:<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span>In just a few months, the world is going to change forever.
