Who is she, you ask? She\u2019s the \u201cinfluencer\u201d and star of the reality TV show \u201cBaddies Caribbean\u201d who pleaded guilty to playing a role in a looting spree that went city-wide in Philadelphia back in September.<\/p>\n<p>Her punishment? According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox29.com\/news\/baddies-caribbean-star-philly-influencer-meatball-pleads-guilty-role-city-wide-looting-spree\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WTXF-TV<\/a>, five years <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/sf-man-stabbed-woman-94-gets-5-years-probation-lib-criminal-justice-reform-continues-wrecking-city\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">probation<\/a>, along with 150 hours of community service and a fine. Actual slaps on the wrist have left more indelible marks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMeatball\u201d \u2014 driver\u2019s license name Dayjia Blackwell \u2014 was one of dozens arrested after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox29.com\/news\/philadelphia-looting-dozens-arrested-including-juveniles-after-stores-ransacked-across-the-city\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WTXF<\/a> reported in September that \u201ca large group of people, including many juveniles, terrorized several sections of Philadelphia during an hours-long crime spree that spanned from Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> <iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"\u2018Baddies Caribbean\u2019 star &#038; Philly influencer \u2018Meatball' sentenced for role in looting spree\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/9lN-wUyHicQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen   style=\"display:none\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The station noted that it had \u201cobtained video of the ransacked Apple Store with iPhones and iPads scattered across the display tables. [WTXF reporter Steve] Keeley reports that many of the stolen Apple products were left behind when the thieves realized the device\u2019s anti-theft technology rendered them inactive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Blackwell, 21 at the time of her arrest, apparently helped police nab the suspects, as police say <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/graphic-content-warning-pennsylvania-woman-arrested-torturous-mutilating-livestream\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">her livestreams<\/a> helped them track those responsible down.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe stream followed looters from a state liquor store to Lululemon to the Center City Apple Store,\u201d WTXF noted. \u201cAs the store is being ransacked, the stream showed stolen iPhones and iPads sounding an alarm with an anti-theft system.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBlackwell is alleged to have used her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-new-acting-attorney-general-jeff-rosen-recently-wrote-an-essay-on-foreign-influence-in-us-elections-this-tells-us-a-little-about-his-knowledge-of-whats-going-on-today\/\" title=\"The New Acting Attorney General Jeff Rosen Recently Wrote an Essay on Foreign Influence in US Elections \u2013 This Tells Us A Little About His Knowledge of What\u2019s Going On Today\">social media platform<\/a> to encourage people to engage in criminal activities at those locations, and is alleged to have engaged in criminal activities herself,\u201d the district attorney\u2019s office said in a statement, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcphiladelphia.com\/news\/local\/meatball-influencer-philadelphia-riot-probation\/3890942\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WCAU-TV<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Should \u201cMeatball\u201d have received a radically harsher sentence?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>In fact, the mayor said that she played a significant inciting role in the riot due to her social media presence.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[She was] livestreaming the whole thing, wound up with 12,000 followers and created, basically incited, the riot,\u201d then-Mayor Jim Kenney said.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Meatball repeatingly shouting, \u201cEverybody must eat!\u201d behind the looters.<\/p>\n<p>( philadelphia philly lootings riot dayjia blackwell instargram ig live dayjiamainpage ) <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/G89nxBXcQG\">pic.twitter.com\/G89nxBXcQG<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 reaction encyclopedia (@gay_reactions) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/gay_reactions\/status\/1711774087310172216?\">October 10, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In the videos, she kept on urging followers to loot stores, saying they could get \u201cfree iPhones.\u201d The riot was sparked, apparently, by the dismissal of charges against a cop who shot and killed a man during a traffic stop. Those charges have since been reinstated, although a livestream of a riot advertising an opportunity to get a 100 percent discount on an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/punk-steals-dozens-iphones-california-store-happened-shows-states-real-problem\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">iPhone<\/a> does not, indeed, seem to have been a social justice tactic.<\/p>\n<p>Nor, in fact, does the defendant seem to have learned from this, at least all that much.<\/p>\n<p>The judge noted that the defendant had worn a necklace that said \u201cBaddies\u201d on it into court during sentencing Thursday and said he hoped the next time she was before him, the necklace would say \u201cGoodie.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBlackwell revealed that the necklace was in reference to the reality TV show \u2018Baddies Caribbean\u2019 in which she appears on during its current season five. Five months probation. A bunch of January 6 protesters who basically were ushered into the Capitol by law enforcement acting as matadors waving them by, and who did little but commit chaos tourism, will <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/wife-prison-visit-coordinator-comes-forward-exposes-j6-accuses-treated-worse-murderers-rapists\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rot in prison for months<\/a>, if not years, for the act.<\/p>\n<p>Who caused more harm? Democrats will talk in hushed tones about the horrible things these protesters did to our \u201chollowed democracy\u201d \u2026 as if the progressive protesters who did roughly the same thing were exempt from causing this damage. They\u2019ll try to play up the non-existent danger these people caused, even if they weren\u2019t part of any riot.<\/p>\n<p>But \u201cMeatball,\u201d who seems particularly unrepentant and actively encouraged this carnage? Probation. A fine. And more fame to her name.
