Following his tenure as a Senior Advisor to former\u200d President Donald Trump, Kushner founded the firm and shortly after received a controversial $2 billion investment from a \u2062Saudi fund, raising concerns about his use of\u200c presidential ties to benefit personally. Wyden,\u2064 leveraging his position in the Democratic majority of the Senate, is working to obtain enough support to subpoena documents related to Kushner\u2019s activities \u2062and associations with \u2062the\u2062 company. In April 2022, Kushner came under scrutiny after<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/1490359\/jared-kushner-firm-received-2-billion-saudi-investment-after-white-house-exit-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title> revelations<\/a> he scored a $2 billion investment from a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/republicans-are-successfully-blocking-biden-nominees-and-his-scotus-pick-could-be-next\/\" title=\"Republicans Are Successfully Blocking Biden Nominees, And His SCOTUS Pick Could Be Next\">fund led<\/a> by the Saudi crown prince just six months after leaving the White House. <\/p>\n<p>As a member of the Senate\u2019s Democratic majority, Wyden is trying to garner enough votes to subpoena documents relevant to Kushner\u2019s role in Affinity Partners. Wyden and other Democratic leaders have expressed concern Kushner began planning for his next entrepreneurial venture with foreign governments while still serving as a White House adviser. <\/p>\n<p>Last week, Wyden sent a letter to Affinity Partners, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/stunning-hypocrisy-demon-nancy-pelosi-cheers-national-guard-troops-in-dc-today-after-she-attacked-trump-for-sending-in-national-guard-during-dc-blm-riots\/\" title=\"STUNNING HYPOCRISY: Demon Nancy Pelosi Cheers National Guard Troops in DC Today After She Attacked Trump For Sending in National Guard During DC BLM Riots\">expressing concern<\/a> that the majority of Affinity\u2019s fund capital allegedly comes from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is deeply concerning that several Middle Eastern governments are using funds managed by Affinity as a means to pay tens of millions of dollars in fees every year to former President Trump\u2019s son-in-law, Jared Kushner,\u201d Wyden said. The chairman of the Senate Finance Committee added that Kushner\u2019s actions amounted to \u201csignificant conflicts of interest.\u201d <\/p>\n<figure><figcaption>Sen.
