This program, which allows U.S. citizens \u2062to sponsor migrants, is under scrutiny for its potential to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/chinese-social-network-helps-illegal-invaders-cross-into-u-s\/\" title=\"Chinese social network aids unauthorized migrants in entering the U.S\">facilitate \u200cillegal immigration<\/a> and undermine \u200bnational security and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/democrats-recruiting-gop-senators-for-amnesty-deal\/\" title=\"Democrats Recruiting GOP Senators for Amnesty Deal\">immigration system<\/a> integrity. Concerns about the program&#8217;s \u200bvulnerability to fraud and exploitation were acknowledged\u2064 even \u200dby\u2064 the Biden State Department. Critics claim that \u2063the Administration has, since January 2021, enabled over 7 million illegal entries \u2063into\u2063 the country and\u2064 continues to\u200d establish paths for even\u2063 more migrations. As of May 1, 2024, over \u206215,000 sponsorship applications had been submitted nationwide. The Welcome Corps program supports groups of sponsors to assist refugees \u2064in \u200badjusting to American life, offering tools and expert guidance.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<div>\n<figure>                         <\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The House Judiciary Committee launched an investigation Thursday into the Biden Administration\u2019s \u201cWelcome Corps\u201d program, which acts as an avenue for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/white-house-releases-list-of-president-trumps-accomplishments-and-it-is-historic\/\" title=\"White House Releases List of President Trump\u2019s Accomplishments \u2013  And It Is Historic!\">illegal migrants<\/a> to enter the country via sponsorship from current U.S. citizens.<\/p>\n<p>The letter, obtained exclusively by The Federalist, explained that the committee is concerned about the \u201cpotential abuses of the Welcome Corps, which could undermine both national security and the integrity of the U.S. immigration system.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"View Welcome Corps Investigation on Scribd\" href=\"https:\/\/www.scribd.com\/document\/743861418\/Welcome-Corps-Investigation#from_embed\">Welcome Corps Investigation<\/a> by <a title=\"View The Federalist's profile on Scribd\" href=\"https:\/\/www.scribd.com\/user\/274202084\/The-Federalist#from_embed\">The Federalist<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cDespite allowing more than <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/how-joe-biden-effectively-ended-deportations\/\" title=\"How Joe Biden Effectively Ended Deportations\">7 million illegal aliens<\/a> into the United States since January 2021,\u00a0the Biden Administration continues to create avenues to fast track additional aliens into the country,\u201d the letter reads. <\/p>\n<p>The letter cited the Welcome Corps as one of those avenues and noted that \u201cas of May 1, 2024, more than 15,000 private sponsorship applications had been submitted from all 50 states\u201d through the program.<\/p>\n<p>The Biden State Department \u201cacknowledged in a previous briefing with the [Judiciary] Committee, such a massive resettlement program is vulnerable to fraud and exploitation.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>According to the Welcome Corps <a href=\"https:\/\/welcomecorps.org\/about\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">website<\/a>, \u201cWorking in groups of at least five people<strong>,<\/strong> sponsors come together to help refugees transition to life in their new community, all along the way supported by tools and resources from the Welcome Corps as well as ongoing guidance from resettlement experts.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Addressed to Assistant Secretary Julieta Valls Noyes of the Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration, the committee asked the State Department for additional information regarding the program to hopefully discern the threat it potentially poses to American citizens and sovereignty.<\/p>\n<p>Requests include \u201cThe total number of Welcome Corps sponsorship applications, disaggregated by the\u00a0refugee\u2019s country of nationality and the country in which the refugee resides,\u201d as well as \u201cthe total number of fraud reports the Welcome Corps has received since the program was launched in 2023.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The committee also asked for information regarding the bureau\u2019s response to instances of admitted fraud within the Welcome Corps and how that fraud has been addressed since the program\u2019s creation.<\/p>\n<p>Rep. Jim Jordan, chairman of the Judiciary Committee, and Rep. Tom McClintock, chairman<br \/>of the Subcommittee on Immigration Integrity, Security, and Enforcement, authored the letter. The committee asked that all requested materials and additional information be provided by July 5.<\/p>\n<p>The Welcome Corps not only integrates illegal migrants into American communities but also helps set them up with jobs and opportunities to pursue a college education.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough this program, the <a href=\"https:\/\/welcomecorps.org\/about\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Welcome Corps<\/a> matches qualified refugees with U.S employers, providing them with concrete job offers\u201d as well as \u201ca path to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/aclu-negotiating-with-biden-administration-to-give-deported-illegal-immigrants-permanent-status-compensation-and-social-services\/\" title=\"ACLU Negotiating With Biden Administration To Give Deported Illegal Immigrants Permanent Status, \u2018Compensation and Social Services\u2019\">permanent legal status<\/a> in the United States for refugee students.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>The Welcome Corps itself is also concerned about corruption.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWelcome\u00a0Corps has warned individuals to \u2018[b]eware of scams and anyone who asks for or offers payment or services to complete an application,&#8217;\u201d the letter said.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>      Kamden Mulder is a summer intern at The Federalist.
