Among these warships was a Russian nuclear-powered submarine, the outlet reported.<\/p>\n<p>Social media users are sharing an image of a submarine, claiming to show the vessel off the coast of Florida. One user wrote, \u201cOff the coast of Florida tonight\u2026..\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This claim is misleading. Through a reverse image search, Check Your Fact found that the image was first <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rt.com\/russia\/476812-russia-nuclear-submarine-launched\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">shared<\/a> in 2019 and shows a Yasem-class submarine.<\/p>\n<p>A Yasem-class submarine, the Kazan, did depart Havana, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/theaviationist.com\/2024\/06\/19\/submarines-missing-tiles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Aviationist<\/a>. The Kazan was launched in 2017 and commissioned in 2021, per <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Russian_submarine_Kazan_(K-561)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Wikipedia<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2024\/06\/12\/fact-check-post-damaged-su-57\/\"><strong>(RELATED: Post Claims To Show Damaged SU-57)<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Images and video of the submarine departing Havana are available on social media.
