Russian gas\u2064 now\u200d accounts for\u2063 15% of\u2064 the gas supply to Europe, slightly more than U.S. contributions, which have dropped to 14%. This shift\u2062 is attributed to several\u200d &#8220;one-off factors,&#8221; including an outage at a \u200dmajor U.S. natural gas export facility \u200dand delayed\u2064 contracts resulting from the U.S. administration&#8217;s halt on new natural \u200cgas export licenses. This development occurs despite ongoing\u2064 European sanctions aimed at curtailing Russia&#8217;s energy revenue, which supports its war efforts.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/russia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Russia<\/a> has overtaken the United States as the top exporter of natural gas to Europe despite the continent trying to break its reliance on Russian energy in response to Russia\u2019s war in Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>Russian President Vladimir Putin cut his country\u2019s supply of gas to Europe following his invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 and the continent responded by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/victor-davis-hanson-the-green-immoralists\/\" title=\"Victor Davis Hanson: The Green Immoralists\">importing liquified natural gas<\/a> (LNG) from the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe US overtook Russia as a supplier of gas to Europe in September 2022, and has since 2023 accounted for about a fifth of the region\u2019s supply,\u201d The Financial Times <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/15e7b892-c4f3-45b8-b375-80ef52e4b83c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>. \u201cBut last month, Russian-piped gas and LNG shipments accounted for 15 per cent of total supply to the EU, UK, Switzerland, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and North Macedonia, according to data from ICIS.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>U.S. shipments of natural gas to Europe have since fallen to 14% of the region\u2019s supply, the report said, which comes despite efforts from several European nations to sanction Russian energy, which would reduce Russia\u2019s ability to continue funding its war through energy sales.<\/p>\n<p>Experts claimed to the newspaper that \u201cone-off factors drove the reversal,\u201d including an outage at a major U.S. natural gas export facility.<\/p>\n<p>However, the outage comes after President Joe Biden halted issuing new licenses for natural gas exporters, which has forced companies to delay signing new contracts with U.S. energy producers, Bloomberg News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2024-03-15\/biden-s-lng-freeze-delaying-projects-and-risking-us-market-share?embedded-checkout=true\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Rep. Stephanie Bice (R-OK) responded to the development by telling The Daily Wire in a statement: \u201cThe Biden Administration\u2019s decision to pause approvals for new LNG export terminals has once again forced Europe into the pockets of Putin.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHis decisions not only counter his climate goals, since Russian natural gas is 41% dirtier than American, but harms our domestic producers,\u201d she added. \u201cWhen it comes to Russia, Biden talks the talk, but his actions are doing nothing but supporting Putin.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) also responded to the news during the most recent episode of his \u201cVerdict\u201d podcast this week, saying that Biden and the Democrats \u201care united in favor of this policy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" aria-describedby=\"sk-tooltip-9096\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp&#038;source=gmail&#038;ust=1712932862202000&#038;usg=AOvVaw0plT8RRdMy9XUpIhocnjQS\">CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey are helping Russia. They love Russian oil and gas. They love Iranian oil and gas. They love Venezuelan oil and gas.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJoe Biden is halting the sale of American natural gas to Europe, which means the Europeans are buying them from Vladimir Putin,\u201d he continued. \u201cThe Democrats are literally funding Russia in the war against Ukraine.
