Two years later in November of 2020, the city of Winooski <a href=\"https:\/\/vtdigger.org\/2020\/11\/03\/winooski-votes-to-approve-noncitizen-voting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">approved a measure<\/a> allowing noncitizens to vote in all city elections.<\/p>\n<p>The Vermont General Assembly voted to approve the <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/2022-midterm-elections-voting-united-states-elections-vermont-3cfc1ff8e6d6b91fdef7f29ee97cd338\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Montpelier and Winooski<\/a> amendments in May of 2021, but were vetoed by Republican <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2024\/05\/29\/governor-phil-scott-ghost-gun-ban-serial-numbers-reports\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Gov.
