While acknowledging that she is not entirely satisfied with Biden, Fonda expressed the necessity\u200d of defeating former President Donald Trump and noted her support for\u200b Biden is motivated both by support for him\u2064 and a desire to prevent Trump&#8217;s return. \u2063Fonda emphasized that with \u2064age comes wisdom, and she personally believes Biden is well-suited to be president, stating the country does\u200d not need a &#8220;demi-god,&#8221; but someone capable of leadership. Fonda, 85, said that the age of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-founding-fathers-6-prophetic-warnings-that-are-coming-true\/\" title=\"The Founding Fathers: 6 Prophetic Warnings That Are Coming True\">oldest president<\/a> is nothing to worry about.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can tell you that you do get wiser, and you do learn things; you learn from your mistakes,\u201d Fonda told CNN. \u201cAnd I have seen him up close and personal, and he\u2019s fine. He\u2019s perfectly suited to be president of the United States. I don\u2019t know because of, or in spite of the age, he\u2019s just fine, and he\u2019s someone we can work with, and that\u2019s what we need. We don\u2019t need a demi-god.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fonda also admitted that she was not \u201c100% happy\u201d with Biden but argued that beating former President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Donald Trump<\/a> was necessary. When asked if her support for Biden is either out of support for the president or a desire to prevent Trump\u2019s return to power, Fonda said it is \u201ca little of both.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While concerns of age and mental fitness have largely revolved around Biden, who will turn 82 in November, the former president, who turned 78 this month, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/2858532\/trump-claims-he-purposely-mixed-up-haley-and-pelosi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>previously mixed up the names <\/a>of former Republican presidential candidate <a href=\"http:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/nikki-haley\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Nikki Haley<\/a> and Rep. <a href=\"http:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/nancy-pelosi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Nancy Pelosi<\/a> (D-CA).
