Chip Roy <a href=\"https:\/\/first-heritage-foundation.s3.amazonaws.com\/live_files\/2023\/04\/Defund-Face-Act-Appropriations-Letter.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">noted in a 2023 letter<\/a>, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailysignal.com\/2023\/02\/22\/biden-doj-charges-eight-more-pro-life-activists-with-violating-face-act\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">had never<\/a> been used to indict individuals related to an attack on a pro-life pregnancy center or house of worship.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In 2022 alone, however, more than <a href=\"https:\/\/thomasmoresociety.org\/pro-life-family-man-arrested-in-raid-by-armed-fbi-seeks-dismissal-of-federal-charges\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">two dozen\u00a0pro-lifers<\/a> were persecuted by the Biden-led Department of Justice with FACE Act charges. Over the last two years, that number has only grown.<\/p>\n<p>The Biden DOJ formally kicked off its campaign against Christian pro-lifers when it charged Mark Houck with violating the FACE Act after he protected his son from an angry abortion activist across the street from a Planned Parenthood in 2021. The indictment <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/usao-edpa\/pr\/bucks-county-man-indicted-federal-charges-assaulting-reproductive-healthcare-clinic\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">carried a maximum of<\/a> up to 11 years in prison with three years of supervised release and fines totaling $350,000.<\/p>\n<p>In a clear attempt <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailysignal.com\/2022\/12\/09\/fbi-arrested-pro-life-dad-mark-houck-now-hes-accusing-doj-viewpoint-discrimination-selective-prosecution\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cto intimidate people of faith and pro-life Americans,\u201d<\/a> the Biden administration made a showy arrest of Houck at his family home in September 2022 by deploying\u00a0FBI equipped with<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/10\/04\/with-new-documents-the-biden-administrations-targeting-of-a-pro-life-dad-just-got-crazier\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> battering rams and ballistic shields<\/a>. His wife and seven children, who were present during the <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/09\/26\/fbi-raids-pro-lifers-home-arrests-him-in-front-of-his-kids-after-ignoring-pro-abortion-terrorism\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">raid<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifesitenews.com\/news\/fbi-raids-home-of-catholic-pro-life-speaker-author-with-guns-drawn-as-his-terrified-kids-watch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">recounted<\/a> that agents \u201chad big, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/fbi-swat-team-conducts-early-morning-raid-arrests-pro-life-activist-at-pennsylvania-home-report\/\" title=\"FBI SWAT Team Conducts Early-Morning Raid, Arrests Pro-Life Activist At Pennsylvania Home: Report\">huge rifles pointed<\/a> at Mark and pointed at me and kind of pointed throughout the house.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-5abdce2951c07cf0ef851ae95991d65d fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-5abdce2951c07cf0ef851ae95991d65d\"><\/div>\n<p>After months of legal battles, Houck <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/01\/30\/mark-houck-pro-life-dad-targeted-by-biden-regime-acquitted-of-trumped-up-charges\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">was eventually cleared by a federal jury.<\/a> The dozens of other pro-lifers targeted by the Biden regime, however, were not so lucky. <\/p>\n<p>In <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/08\/23\/pro-lifers-could-face-11-years-in-prison-for-trying-to-protect-innocents-from-harm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">an extreme expansion of the punishment time<\/a> often dealt to people protecting unborn babies, prosecutors threatened Lauren Handy and several of her fellow\u00a0Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising\u00a0(PAAU) members with up to 11 years in federal prison after they were <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/08\/29\/five-pro-lifers-found-guilty-of-face-act-violations-for-protesting-at-late-term-abortion-facility\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">convicted<\/a> of allegedly violating the FACE Act\u00a0and participating in a Conspiracy Against Rights. <\/p>\n<p>In May, a U.S. district judge confirmed the 30-year-old must <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/05\/14\/peaceful-pro-lifer-gets-years-in-prison-after-biden-doj-targeted-her-under-face-act\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">serve 57 months with three years of supervision<\/a> for her participation in the peaceful protest of one of the most controversial abortion facilities in the nation. Paulette Harlow, one of Handy\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/navy-commander-admits-to-being-bribed-by-fat-leonard-giving-classified-info-to-foreign-defense-contractor\/\" title=\"Navy Commander Admits To Being Bribed By \u2018Fat Leonard,\u2019 Giving Classified Info To Foreign Defense Contractor\">fellow defendants<\/a> with a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncregister.com\/cna\/another-elderly-pro-life-activist-sentenced-to-two-years-in-prison\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cdebilitating medical condition,\u201d<\/a> is expected to be locked up for 24 months for activities such as staying \u201cchained together, praying the Rosary and singing hymns to the Blessed Virgin Mary.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Handy and her crew\u2019s so-called crimes included initiating a \u201crescue and protest\u201d at late-term abortionist Cesare Santangelo\u2019s Washington, D.C., facility in October 2020. As Handy\u2019s lawyers at the Thomas More Society <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thomasmoresociety.org\/case\/united-states-of-america-v-lauren-handy-et-al\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">noted<\/a>, the 10 defendants \u201csimply kneeled and prayed at Santangelo\u2019s facility, some passed out pro-life literature and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/five-pro-lifers-found-guilty-of-face-act-violations-for-protesting-at-late-term-abortion-facility\/\" title=\"Five pro-life activists convicted of violating the FACE Act for protesting at a late-term abortion clinic.\">counseled abortion-minded women<\/a>, and others roped and chained themselves together inside the facility.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-5cbd7ac8daa87a4c7088c8ac1f08a9b3 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-10\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-5cbd7ac8daa87a4c7088c8ac1f08a9b3\"><\/div>\n<p>A similar scenario played out for FACE Act defendants like Paul Vaughn and 87-year-old Eva Edl, who <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/RepRussellFry\/status\/1658531968709976073\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201csurvived a communist concentration camp.\u201d<\/a> They were among <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/usao-mdtn\/pr\/eleven-charged-face-act-violations-stemming-2021-blockade-mount-juliet-reproductive\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the 11<\/a> pro-lifers who <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/10\/06\/fbi-raids-another-pro-lifers-home-in-federal-prosecution-against-11-peaceful-opponents-of-state-sponsored-child-killings\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">were raided, charged, and convicted<\/a> for peacefully protesting outside of a Tennessee abortion facility.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\"> <span class=\"Fyq7vT\"><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Video of the FBI&#8217;s arrest of Paul Vaughn of Centerville, Tennessee. While the pro-life pregnancy centers and churches that were <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/08\/12\/feds-suddenly-remember-to-decry-threats-of-violence-after-ignoring-violent-dobbs-backlash\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">firebombed, vandalized, and set ablaze<\/a> in the wake of the Supreme Court\u2019s <em>Dobbs v.
