Biden\u2062 suggests that this policy will strengthen the U.S. economy, though critics\u2063 argue it adds to economic strain \u2062since foreign-born\u200c workers, including illegal immigrants, have been \u200cdominating \u200bjob gains in \u200cthe U.S. Critics, including former President Donald Trump and Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen, view\u200b this\u200b move\u2063 as a strategy to expand the Democratic electorate. And while he dubbed his overreach as keeping \u201cfamilies together,\u201d it is nothing more than another step in Democrats\u2019 plan to expand their future electorate.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/statements-releases\/2024\/06\/18\/fact-sheet-president-biden-announces-new-actions-to-keep-families-together\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">EO<\/a> makes it easier for illegal immigrants who married U.S. citizens \u2014 and their children \u2014 to apply for lawful permanent residence status without leaving the country, and after that, U.S. citizenship. An approximate 500,000 illegal immigrants who married a U.S. citizen will benefit from this order along with 50,000 children, according to the White House.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2-long d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-174346826\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1379703300879-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-4bbddf24493589e958fd8853490e92fe fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-4bbddf24493589e958fd8853490e92fe\"><\/div>\n<p>Without providing any explanation as to how, Biden claims this will \u201cstrengthen\u201d the U.S. economy. Notably, recent data from the <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/06\/07\/foreign-born-workers-dominate-u-s-job-gains-while-native-born-americans-struggle\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bureau of Labor Statistics<\/a> (BLS) shows foreign-born workers gained 637,000 jobs year-over-year while <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/foreign-born-workers-dominate-u-s-job-gains-while-native-born-americans-struggle\/\" title=\"Foreign-born workers lead U.S. job growth as native-born Americans face challenges\">native-born workers lost roughly 299<\/a>,000. The BLS acknowledges foreign-born workers likely include illegal immigrants. As economist E.J. Antoni recently <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/06\/07\/foreign-born-workers-dominate-u-s-job-gains-while-native-born-americans-struggle\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">explained<\/a> to The Federalist, the drain illegal migrants place on the economy offsets their production value.<\/p>\n<p><strong>[READ:[READ:<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/06\/07\/foreign-born-workers-dominate-u-s-job-gains-while-native-born-americans-struggle\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Foreign-Born Workers Dominate U.S. Job Gains While Native-Born Americans Struggle<\/a>]<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Does This EO Mean For Democrats?<\/h2>\n<p>By federal law, \u201cNon-citizens, including permanent legal residents,\u201d are not allowed to \u201cvote in federal, state, and most local elections,\u201d according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usa.gov\/who-can-vote\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">USA.gov<\/a>. But lawful permanent residents are \u201celigible to become a U.S. citizen after five years of becoming a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/doj-investigating-spacexs-hiring-practices-after-non-u-s-citizen-alleges-discrimination\/\" title=\"DOJ Investigating SpaceX\u2019s Hiring Practices After Non-U.S. Citizen Alleges Discrimination\">lawful permanent resident<\/a>, or three years if you are married to a U.S. citizen,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbp.gov\/travel\/us-citizens#:~:text=If%20you%20are%20a%20lawful,married%20to%20a%20U.S.%20citizen.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">according<\/a> to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.<\/p>\n<p>Unless there are specific carveouts in Biden\u2019s executive order prohibiting individuals who came into this country illegally before receiving amnesty from registering to vote, then Biden just gifted Democrats with hundreds of thousands of potential future voters.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-1ecaf00441d90aed4203d68062689245 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-1ecaf00441d90aed4203d68062689245\"><\/div>\n<p>Former President Donald Trump <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/immigration\/biden-plans-new-policy-shielding-undocumented-spouses-us-citizens-rcna157604\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">warned<\/a> that under Biden\u2019s election-year order, \u201ca deluge of illegals will be given immediate green cards and put on the fast track to rapid citizenship so they can vote.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCouple this with [Biden\u2019s] previous voter registration EO and it is clear that Biden is attempting to win the upcoming election, not by winning over legitimate American voters, but by attempting to legitimize illegal immigrants,\u201d said Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen. \u201cHe won\u2019t stop with this EO. He will keep attempting to dilute the power of the vote of legal Americans.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Of course, Biden and Democrats, as my colleague <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/06\/19\/dems-claim-they-arent-importing-an-electorate-but-these-5-examples-indicate-otherwise\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Shawn Fleetwood<\/a> explained, \u201cwant Americans to believe they aren\u2019t interested in handing out U.S. citizenship and voting rights to foreign nationals like it\u2019s candy on Halloween.\u201d Yet their actions, including this EO, suggest otherwise.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, Biden\u2019s EO sends the same message that a trio of Democratic witnesses sent during a Senate Judiciary Hearing in March. <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/03\/12\/not-a-single-democrat-witness-in-congress-agreed-only-citizens-should-vote-in-federal-elections\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Not a single Democrat witness<\/a> could resolutely say they believe only citizens should be able to vote in a federal election.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-2f84dcfcc4fdf194a41d9f98cb8b2ee1 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-10\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-2f84dcfcc4fdf194a41d9f98cb8b2ee1\"><\/div>\n<p>And it\u2019s the same message being sent by Democrats nationwide who oppose legislation to ensure only citizens vote in federal elections.<\/p>\n<p>As of right now, anyone registering to vote in federal elections must simply check a box affirming he is a U.S. citizen. Individuals \u2014 legal or not \u2014 can simply lie on their registration forms. In other words, our elections hinge on the honor system. It\u2019s a loophole Republicans are working to close via the Safeguarding American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, which would <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/rhode-island-dems-push-to-teach-kids-about-pleasure-based-sexual-relations\/\" title=\"Rhode Island Dems Push To Teach Kids About \u2018Pleasure Based Sexual Relations\u2019\">amend current law<\/a> to require documentary proof of citizenship to register to vote.<\/p>\n<p>Democrats have <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/05\/22\/ap-admits-noncitizens-vote-in-u-s-elections-while-insisting-its-no-big-deal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">insisted<\/a> the SAVE Act is unreasonable and unnecessary since, according to federal law, it\u2019s illegal to vote in an election if you\u2019re not a U.S. citizen.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s also illegal to bum-rush border agents and break into the country.<\/p>\n<p>Only one state, Arizona, requires voters to provide documentary proof of citizenship to register to vote in state elections. As a result of the federal government\u2019s attempt to weaken Arizona\u2019s proof-of-citizenship law, individuals who cannot prove their citizenship can register as federal-only voters.<\/p>\n<p>During the 2020 election in Arizona, 11,600 voters voted using a federal-only ballot, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/azfreenews.com\/2021\/09\/over-11600-no-proof-of-citizenship-required-federal-ballots-cast-in-2020-election\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AZ Free News<\/a>.
