The article questions \u2064whether this strategy will resonate with nonwhite voters, who historically may distrust the justice system. And they do not seem to know that more and more Americans have awakened to their schemes. Or, perhaps they know and do not care, which would explain the otherwise inexplicable.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, the New York Court of Appeals published a nine-page <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nycourts.gov\/ctapps\/Decisions\/2024\/Jun24\/DecisionList061824.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">decision list<\/a> that summarized its rulings in regard to five cases and 31 motions, including an appeal from former President Donald Trump requesting that the court lift the gag order imposed by Judge Juan Merchan prior to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/nfl-hall-famer-throws-support-behind-trump-viral-photo-doesnt-matter-many-fake-charges-find-guilty\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sham trial<\/a> that concluded on May 30 with the presumptive Republican presidential nominee <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trump-issues-defiant-response-guilty-verdict-real-verdict-going-nov-5\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">found guilty<\/a> of falsifying business records.<\/p>\n<p>The court denied Trump\u2019s appeal, paving the way for a lopsided and almost certainly self-destructive advertising barrage from the Biden campaign that seeks to use the sham trial for political advantage by depicting its rival as a convicted criminal.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Trump will not have the liberty to respond to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/bidens-declaration-war-4-takeaways-state-union-address\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tyrannical president<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>As <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2024\/06\/18\/trump-gag-order-new-york-hush-money-case\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Axios<\/a> noted, Merchan\u2019s gag order prevents the former president from talking about the people involved in this legal travesty. That includes \u201cwitnesses, prosecutors, court staff and jurors and their family members.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In other words, the judge barred Trump from commenting publicly on sinister figures such as former Trump lawyer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/huge-michael-cohen-admits-stealing-thousands-trump-testimony-hush-money-trial\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Michael Cohen<\/a>, a witness for the prosecution and a notorious liar; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/jim-jordan-threatens-letitia-james-subpoena-trump-prosecutor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Matthew Colangelo<\/a>, a member of Manhattan District Attorney <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/alvin-braggs-top-trump-prosecutor-comes-official-investigation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alvin Bragg\u2019s<\/a> prosecution team and also a former high official in the Biden Justice Department; and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trump-judge-refuses-demand-step-aside-dismisses-accusations-bias-donations-democrats-exposed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Loren Merchan<\/a>, the judge\u2019s daughter and a prominent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-matt-gaetz-torches-biden-ag-judge-merchans-daughter-profiting-off-trump-prosecution\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Democratic political consultant<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Defense attorney, law professor and legal analyst <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/legal-expert-jonathan-turley-provides-ray-hope-trump-guilty-verdict-case-will-reversed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jonathan Turley<\/a> denounced the appeals court\u2019s decision as destructive to actual democracy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou have a local New York judge effectively limiting what the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/kenyan-ministers-rally-around-metas-facebook-after-watchdogs-ultimatum\/\" title=\"Kenyan ministers rally around Meta\u2019s Facebook after watchdog\u2019s ultimatum\">leading presidential candidate<\/a> can say in the months leading up to an election,\u201d Turley told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/legal-experts-say-gag-order-trump-case-untethered-rationale-after-court-order\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fox News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, Turley described the gag order\u2019s continuation as seemingly \u201cuntethered from any compelling rationale.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Has the New York court system treated Trump unfairly?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Biden, of course, has not concealed his eagerness to capitalize on the prosecution of his chief political rival. Veteran actor and Biden shill Robert DeNiro\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-car-alarm-derails-robert-de-niros-anti-trump-speech-front-courthouse-will-never-leave\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">disastrous appearance<\/a> outside the courthouse during the trial made that much crystal clear. So did the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/biden-creepy-response-reporter-asks-trump-political-prisoner\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">evil smirk on the president\u2019s face<\/a> when asked about his involvement in Trump\u2019s persecution.<\/p>\n<p>Per <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2024\/06\/17\/biden-50-million-ad-buy-trump-convicted-criminal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Axios<\/a>, the Biden campaign has launched a $50 million swing-state ad campaign labeling Trump a \u201cconvicted criminal.\u201d The report even described the president as hoping to \u201cexploit\u201d the conviction \u201cfor his political benefit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Inexplicably, the ad campaign will use <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/mug-shot-mania-soars-trump-flips-script-dems-image-prayed-becomes-battle-cry-never-surrender\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trump\u2019s 2023 mug shot<\/a> in an effort to appeal to nonwhite voters. The former president, of course, capitalized on that iconic mug shot with a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trump-used-mug-shot-flip-script-democrats-paid-off-big-fundraising-numbers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">massive fundraising haul<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>There is much to unpack here.<\/p>\n<p>First, the very concept of a gag order should offend all freedom-loving Americans\u2019 deepest sensibilities.<\/p>\n<p>After all, in light of the First Amendment, how can a court ban speech, especially political speech? And if a court presumes to ban speech, what does that suggest about the judges\u2019 motives?<\/p>\n<p>One may discover a close parallel in the proliferation of \u201cclassified\u201d documents. If a government actually belongs to the people, how can government officials conceal information from the sovereign? Is not the entire loathsome system of marking documents \u201cclassified\u201d primarily a method by which unscrupulous government officials, under the blanket guise of \u201cnational security,\u201d may <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/julian-assange-learns-fate-years-long-legal-battle-us-extradition\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cover their crimes<\/a>?<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, one struggles to understand the ongoing and obvious persecution of Trump, even from the perspective of his persecutors. Biden and the establishment are unquestionably diabolical, but do they even understand their own interests?<\/p>\n<p>For instance, polls have shown Trump making <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/goodness-gracious-cnn-data-analyst-stunned-hispanic-voter-shift-appears-helping-trump-2-key-states\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">massive gains<\/a> with nonwhite voters. That includes \u2014 perhaps especially \u2014 black voters under the age of 50, who have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/cnn-data-analyst-cant-believe-latest-trump-biden-poll-numbers-like-speechless\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">abandoned Biden<\/a> \u201cin droves.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Does the Biden campaign really believe that showcasing Trump\u2019s mug shot and sham trial will earn the president the support of nonwhite voters who \u2014 not without reason \u2014 harbor a deep and historically founded distrust of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-indictment-unifies-gop-undermines-americans-trust-in-justice-system-experts\/\" title=\"Trump Indictment Unifies GOP, Undermines Americans\u2019 Trust in Justice System: Experts\">entire justice system<\/a>?<\/p>\n<p>Of course, it could be as simple as detachment and delusion.<\/p>\n<p>After all, Judge Merchan represents a class of people who behave as if they belong to one big club. Inside that club, hatred of Trump constitutes not only a virtue but a membership fee.<\/p>\n<p>Considering the circles in which they move, it is quite possible that Merchan, Bragg, Colangelo, the Biden campaign team and the rest of Trump\u2019s deranged antagonists have never met a Trump supporter who was not also a public figure of sorts \u2014 a member of his legal team, for instance.<\/p>\n<p>Nor, most likely, have those powerful lunatics ever met one of the many nonwhite voters now gravitating toward Trump.<\/p>\n<p>As they have repeatedly shown, Biden and the establishment prefer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/house-begins-effort-reverse-jan-6-subpoenas-protect-trump-supporters-prison\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">jailing their opponents<\/a> to doing anything that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/biden-publicly-apologizes-zelenskyy-announces-225-million-additional-ukraine-aid\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">helps Americans<\/a>. And they think Americans have not noticed.<\/p>\n<p>In the end, one must conclude that Trump\u2019s persecutors are so consumed by hatred of the former president that it has turned them into monsters.
