On Tuesday, the price was $3.440 per gallon.<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday\u2019s prices were slightly lower than the cost of gas a week ago when it stood at $3.454. A month ago, the average price for a gallon of regular gas was $3.591.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/mississippi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Mississippi<\/a> is still the state with the least expensive gas in the nation, at $2.926 for a gallon of regular gas. On the other side of the country, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/california\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>California<\/a>, where the prices have dropped considerably in recent weeks, is still the state with the most expensive gas, at $4.823.<\/p>\n<p>Gas prices are less expensive than in June 2023, when the average cost for a gallon of regular gas was $3.578.<\/p>\n<p>Gas prices continue to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/unemployment-inflation-and-automation-the-truth-about-the-15-minimum-wage\/\" title=\"Unemployment, Inflation, and Automation: The Truth About The  Minimum Wage\">vary significantly<\/a> in each state. To see how expensive gas is in each state,<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/gasprices.aaa.com\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> click here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Here are the gas prices for a gallon of regular-grade gas in and around Washington, D.C., and a few other states.<\/p>\n<h2>Washington, D.C.<\/h2>\n<p>The average price for a gallon of regular gas in the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/washington-dc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> nation\u2019s capital<\/a> was $3.67. This is a slight increase from yesterday\u2019s price of $3.667 per gallon. On the other hand, Wednesday\u2019s gas prices were slightly lower than last week when it cost $3.676 per gallon for regular gas. A month ago, gas was $3.718 per gallon.<\/p>\n<h2>Delaware<\/h2>\n<p>The average price for a gallon of regular gas in Delaware on Wednesday is $3.481. This is slightly cheaper than Tuesday\u2019s price of $3.499 per gallon. Both prices are more expensive than at this time last week to get regular gas in the state when prices stood at $3.417 per gallon. It is also more expensive for a gallon of regular-grade gas now than a month ago when gas was $3.453 per gallon.<\/p>\n<h2>Virginia<\/h2>\n<p>On Wednesday, the average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas in Virginia was $3.343. This is a decrease from yesterday\u2019s average of $3.35 per gallon. This is a decrease from yesterday\u2019s price of $3.572. It is, however, an increase from last week\u2019s price of $3.519 per gallon. The state\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/gas-prices-reach-6-year-high-amid-shortages\/\" title=\"Gas Prices Reach 6-Year High Amid Shortages\">average gas price<\/a> is also more expensive than it was a month ago when it cost $3.549 for a gallon of regular gas.<\/p>\n<h2>Florida<\/h2>\n<p>Florida is a popular travel destination during the summer months. And those who drive in Florida will pay $3.32 per gallon, the average price for regular gas in the Sunshine State. Wednesday\u2019s price is considerably more expensive than yesterday when the average price for a gallon of regular gas was $3.226, according to AAA. Prices apparently fluctuate in the state as gas prices a week ago were less expensive than Wednesday\u2019s price, coming in at $3.28 per gallon.
