The patient was enrolled in Texas Children\u2019s Health Plan STAR, which is <a href=\"https:\/\/texaschildrenshealthplan.org\/benefits\/star-medicaid\">described<\/a> as a \u201cno-cost Medicaid managed care plan.\u201d\u00a0Roberts, who Sivadge says encouraged young children to attempt to transition into the opposite sex, was previously at the <a href=\"https:\/\/lambdalegal.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Exh.-8-Affidavit-of-Richard-Ogden-Roberts-III-MD.pdf\">forefront of a lawsuit<\/a> that attempted to prevent Texas from being able to ban child sex-change operations. One doctor named Ethan Haim previously blew the whistle and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.city-journal.org\/article\/sex-change-procedures-at-texas-childrens-hospital\">exposed<\/a> that the hospital had continued to perform child sex-change interventions despite telling the public that it had halted the procedures.
