Douglas Golden<\/span><\/a> <\/span> <span>   June 18, 2024 at 6:31am <\/span> <\/span>  <\/header>\n<section>\n<p>Taylor Swift\u2019s \u201cEras\u201d tour \u2014 so named, I can only assume, because it seems to have spanned several epochs of recorded human history \u2014 is still going on.<\/p>\n<p>And now, it\u2019s getting roundly mocked because TayTay\u2019s dancing is wearing a bit thin or getting a bit weird, depending on your interpretation of what happened during a show last week in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/british-politician-makes-major-announcement-uks-nuclear-weapons\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">United Kingdom<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2024\/06\/17\/taylor-swift-roasted-online-dance-moves-eras-tour-edinburgh\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TMZ<\/a>, a viral clip from a concert in Edinburgh, Scotland, has fans and detractors alike calling Swift\u2019s moves \u201ccringey\u201d and comparing it to dance moves from last century.<\/p>\n<p>Swift played Murrayfield Stadium in the U.K. city between June 7-9; according to <a href=\"https:\/\/news.sky.com\/story\/edinburgh-feeling-full-taylor-swift-effect-after-sold-out-murrayfield-shows-13151846#:~:text=Swift%20brought%20The%20Eras%20Tour,77m%20into%20the%20local%20economy.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sky News<\/a>, the sold-out shows had been expected to inject nearly $100 million into the local economy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese sell-out shows brought huge and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/irresponsible-doctors-blast-young-influencers-with-blue-tongues-pushing-followers-to-ingest-fish-tank-cleaner\/\" title=\"\u2018Irresponsible\u2019: Doctors Blast Young Influencers With Blue Tongues Pushing Followers To Ingest Fish Tank Cleaner\">wide-ranging benefits<\/a> to the city \u2013 reflected both in terms of the estimated up to \u00a377m it contributed to the local economy, but also as a further boost to our global reputation as a great place to live, work and visit,\u201d said City of Edinburgh Council leader Cammy Day \u2014 who, in spite of the name, is in fact a male.<\/p>\n<p>(As anyone who\u2019s ever watched \u201cTrainspotting\u201d can attest to, Scotland\u2019s a weird place.)<\/p>\n<p>Day added that the concerts \u2014 the largest arena shows ever in the U.K. country, Sky News reported \u2014 were to be a \u201cfantastic start to an incredible summer of culture in the capital.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That was before Swift decided to shake it like an amateur Chubby Checker in boots:<\/p>\n<blockquote cite=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@harryalex98\/video\/7380468482917338401\" data-video-id=\"7380468482917338401\">\n<section><a title=\"@harryalex98\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@harryalex98?refer=embed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">@harryalex98<\/a> I\u2019m the one who makes you laugh when you know you\u2019re \u2018bout to cry \u2728 <a title=\"taylorswift\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/tag\/taylorswift?refer=embed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">#taylorswift<\/a> <a title=\"erastour\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/tag\/erastour?refer=embed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">#erastour<\/a> <a title=\"erastouredinburgh\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/tag\/erastouredinburgh?refer=embed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">#erastouredinburgh<\/a> <a title=\"edinburgh\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/tag\/edinburgh?refer=embed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">#edinburgh<\/a> <a title=\"youbelongwithme\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/tag\/youbelongwithme?refer=embed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">#youbelongwithme<\/a> <a title=\"fyp\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/tag\/fyp?refer=embed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">#fyp<\/a> <a title=\"\u266c original sound -
