The suit argues the pharma company committed similar actions regarding the jab\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-signs-cryptocurrency-executive-order-looking-to-develop-digital-dollar-and-crack-down-on-national-security-threats\/\" title=\"Biden Signs Cryptocurrency Executive Order, Looking To Develop Digital Dollar And Crack Down On National Security Threats\">long-term efficacy<\/a> and ability to combat future variants.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPfizer\u2019s actions and statements relating to its COVID-19 vaccine violated previous consent judgments with the State of Kansas\u201d and the Kansas Consumer Protection Act, \u201cregardless of whether any individual consumer ultimately received Pfizer\u2019s COVID-19 vaccine,\u201d the lawsuit reads. \u201cPfizer must be held accountable for falsely representing the benefits of its COVID-19 vaccine while concealing and suppressing the truth about its vaccine\u2019s safety risks, waning effectiveness, and inability to prevent transmission.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pfizer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pfizer.com\/news\/press-release\/press-release-detail\/pfizer-and-biontech-conclude-phase-3-study-covid-19-vaccine\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">claimed<\/a> its shot was \u201c95% effective against COVID-19 beginning 28 days after the first dose\u201d when debuting the product in late 2020. The suit specifically highlights reported communications between then-Twitter (now X) and Scott Gottlieb, a Pfizer board member and former Food and Drug Administration commissioner, who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/alex-berenson-pfizer-linked-former-fda-official-banned-twitter-months-long-conspiracy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reportedly<\/a> contacted the social media platform on Aug. 24, 2021, to \u201ccomplain about a column written by [independent reporter] Alex Berenson that criticized Dr. Anthony Fauci.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-23d7e9c5c6dd00045a3a24a231925c75 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-23d7e9c5c6dd00045a3a24a231925c75\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cThis is whats [sic] promoted on Twitter. This is why Tony needs a security detail,\u201d Gottlieb wrote.<\/p>\n<p>The lawsuit notes how Gottlieb \u201chad a conference call with Twitter employees to discuss Mr. Berenson\u201d shortly thereafter on Aug. 27, 2021. Berenson was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/alex-berenson-pfizer-linked-former-fda-official-banned-twitter-months-long-conspiracy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">summarily banned<\/a> from the platform the following day. <\/p>\n<p>Examples of Pfizer purportedly colluding with Big Tech and federal agencies to target so-called Covid \u201cdisinformation\u201d are also listed in the lawsuit. <\/p>\n<p>Censorship of Covid-related social media posts is front and center in <em><a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/tag\/murthy-v-missouri\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Murthy v. Missouri<\/a><\/em>. Brought by Missouri and Louisiana, the case examines case examines the federal government\u2019s coordinated efforts to silence unfavorable speech online, particularly posts questioning the government\u2019s unscientific Covid response. The U.S. Supreme Court is expected to rule on the matter later this month. <\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-17f0aa8139c1201ad4a76eac8c479c35 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-10\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-17f0aa8139c1201ad4a76eac8c479c35\"><\/div>\n<p>Kobach indicated that four states are considering joining his lawsuit. The Republican attorney general specifically named Idaho, \u201cbut did not name the others, saying they would make their own announcements in their own time,\u201d according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ksn.com\/news\/health\/coronavirus\/coronavirus-in-kansas\/kobach-sues-pfizer-over-covid-vaccine-claims\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">local media<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Kobach\u2019s lawsuit makes Kansas the third state to take action against Covid shot manufacturers for purportedly misleading consumers about their safety and efficacy. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/11\/30\/exclusive-texas-ag-ken-paxton-sues-pfizer-for-false-deceptive-covid-jab-con\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">filed<\/a> a suit against Pfizer in November, similarly alleging the company \u201cengaged in false, deceptive, and misleading acts and practices by making unsupported claims\u201d about its Covid shot. <\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Florida Supreme Court <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/12\/22\/florida-supreme-court-rules-that-desantis-can-impanel-grand-jury-to-investigate-covid-19-vaccine-makers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">granted<\/a> a request by Gov.
