It was so riddled with exceptions and loopholes, anyone could see it was plainly a <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/06\/10\/these-huge-exceptions-show-bidens-border-security-order-is-a-faked-political-stunt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">political stunt<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2-long d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-1782153513\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1379703300879-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-8436dad81667b981022173cef0d8ef2e fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-8436dad81667b981022173cef0d8ef2e\"><\/div>\n<p>Then last week, news media reported that Biden is expected to announce another executive order <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/white-house\/biden-administration-considering-protecting-undocumented-immigrants-ar-rcna156425\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">granting amnesty to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/border-patrol-agent-killed-during-high-speed-chase-with-illegal-immigrants\/\" title=\"Border Patrol Agent Killed During High-Speed Chase With Illegal Immigrants\">half-million illegal immigrants<\/a><\/a>, shielding them from deportation and allowing them to remain and work legally in the U.S. According to a report from NBC News, the order would create a program called \u201cparole in place\u201d and apply specifically to illegal immigrant spouses who have lived and worked in the U.S. for over a decade, an estimated 500,000 people.<\/p>\n<p>The policy whiplash here \u2014 pretending to secure the border one week, the next week floating plans to grant a mass amnesty \u2014 is a testament to the impossible political reality of Biden\u2019s situation vis-\u00e0-vis the border. The open-border radicals that hold sway in the Democrat Party need to be appeased with mass amnesty after even the appearance of a border crackdown by the Biden White House.<\/p>\n<p>Why would Biden need to create the appearance of a crackdown? Because recent polling indicates Americans across the political spectrum are fed up with Biden\u2019s border crisis, including 58 percent of women and 53 percent of Hispanics who now say they <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/number-of-the-beast-trump-and-biden-focus-on-six-issues-in-six-key-states\/\" title=\"Trump and Biden Address Six Key Issues in Six Crucial States\">support mass deportations<\/a>, according to a CBS News\/YouGov poll of registered voters. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\"> <span class=\"K0f5j2TmolehidFUuC6X4vHpcaB3GSrYbWswI\"><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Mass deportation is now popular.<\/p>\n<p>A majority of registered voters favor \u201ca new national program to deport all undocumented immigrants currently living in the U.S. illegally,\u201d 62-38%.<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udc40 A MAJORITY OF HISPANICS favor mass deportation, 53-47%.<\/p>\n<p>Per <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CBSNews?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@CBSNews<\/a> \/ <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/YouGovAmerica?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@YouGovAmerica<\/a> poll: <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/EsUaEsE4im\">pic.twitter.com\/EsUaEsE4im<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Sahil Kapur (@sahilkapur) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/sahilkapur\/status\/1802466161658876210?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 16, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/span> <\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Even given the usual caveats about the reliability of polling, results like these, together with consistent polling for months showing immigration is a top priority for voters, suggest Democrats have a major political problem on their hands ahead of the November election.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-f56ccee42b7894c99baa497a94ced496 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-f56ccee42b7894c99baa497a94ced496\"><\/div>\n<p>Hence, Biden\u2019s fig leaf of an executive order. News reports <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2024\/06\/04\/biden-border-close-executive-action-migrants-00161483\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">emphasized<\/a> that the June 4 order would shut down asylum claims for everyone apprehended crossing the border illegally (between ports of entry) whenever there is an average of 2,500 daily crossings over a seven-day period \u2014 a threshold that had already been met the week the order was announced.<\/p>\n<p>This made it sound like Biden was getting tough on the border, capping illegal crossings at 2,500 per day, which was certainly the spin the White House was going for. Announcing the order, Biden blamed Republicans for refusing to pass a terrible immigration reform bill earlier this year, boasting that he\u2019s \u201cmoving past Republican obstruction and using the executive authorities available to me as president to do what I can on my own to address the border.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But the order itself belies the fact that it\u2019s pure window dressing that won\u2019t actually reduce illegal immigration. As Andrew Arthur of the Center for Immigration Studies <a href=\"https:\/\/cis.org\/Arthur\/First-Look-Bidens-Proclamation-Securing-Border\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">explained in a post earlier this month<\/a>, the order contains such expansive exceptions that it\u2019s unlikely to move the needle on illegal crossings.<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s more, a <a href=\"https:\/\/cis.org\/Arthur\/Leaked-Border-Patrol-Memo-Shows-Biden-Proclamation-All-Show-No-Substance\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">subsequent memo<\/a> sent to Border Patrol on what to do with illegal immigrants arrested after Biden\u2019s order took effect makes it clear that illegal crossings won\u2019t be plummeting anytime soon. The memo splits illegals into groups based on whether they hail from an \u201ceasy to remove\u201d country in either the Eastern or Western Hemisphere or a \u201chard to remove\u201d country in the Eastern Hemisphere.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-23b98f826c3da16859f8611b8d138b02 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-10\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-23b98f826c3da16859f8611b8d138b02\"><\/div>\n<p>The upshot is that the countries sending the vast majority of illegal immigrants \u2014 Mexico; the \u201cNorthern Triangle\u201d countries of El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras; as well as Cuba; Haiti; Nicaragua; and Venezuela \u2014 will have special processes in place to allow them to start their asylum claims at ports of entry instead of after being arrested for entering the U.S. illegally.<\/p>\n<p>For Mexican nationals, it means allowing illegal border-crossers to \u201cvoluntarily remove\u201d themselves back to Mexico without a formal hearing or removal orders issued, which will let them schedule their illegal entry at a port of entry using the CBP One app (which is <a href=\"https:\/\/cis.org\/Arthur\/Whats-Biden-Doing-Migrants-Ports-Entry\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">a total scam<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Those apprehended from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela will be allowed to withdraw their applications for asylum and return to Mexico \u2014 that is, unless they are among the 30,000 parolees granted entry to the U.S. as part of a separate, unadjudicated Biden administration scheme.<\/p>\n<p>Citizens of El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras will be processed for expediated removal, which will send them back to Mexico where they can apply for entry at a port using the CBP One app. And all other nationals from the Western Hemisphere are to be released with a notice to appear before an immigration judge at some future date, and not to be detained.<\/p>\n<p>If you cut through all the bureaucratic jargon and obfuscation, what this means is that no matter what the White House says about cracking down on asylum claims, the Biden administration has devised ways of maintaining the steady flow of illegal immigrants into the country, along with the administrative means of releasing them from federal custody.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, the administration is planning to grant a mass amnesty to illegals who broke our immigration laws years ago \u2014 which would-be illegal immigrants all over the world will rightly interpret as a sign that if they can get across the border, they\u2019ll be allowed to stay.
