He picked up momentum as he moved downstage, which resulted in him falling off the stage directly in front of the audience,\u201d according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-13540037\/sir-ian-mckellen-hospital-falls-stage.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">U.K.\u2019s Daily Mail<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The house lights then came up, as the actor cried out and staff rushed to help.
